I had me a 68 Satellite back in high school in 1979 ,383, 12.5, Tunnel ram, Crower cam, Milidon pan, Hooker fenderwell headers, Zoom clutch, Mr Gasket V gate, etc, Fastest car in town, not too bad paid and built by a seventeen year old kid. My son just picked up his brand new Scat Pac, Shaker hood, orange six speed Challenger yesterday. Only Mopar for our family!
@Speedy rapacki Too bad for you. I’ve owned a 68 Satellite, 69 Road Runner, 70 Charger R/T, 66 Chevelle SS 396, 71 Demon 340 before the age of 21. You’re probably not old enough but those cars were cheap back in the late seventies. I’m too old now to really care if I have another muscle car.
@Speedy rapacki For the benefit of others who may read this and you too. Those cars were cheap and most of the time broke down and missing engines and trans. Satellite under $ 600 and needed a clutch, Chevelle $500 no engine, trans or rear axle, Road Runner (good body)no engine, trans or interior and it was free, I simply asked for it when it was sitting in a field. The Demon was a gem ,I inherited when my older brother (lost his license)was killed when hitch hiking from a drunk driver. Back then you had real junk yards and contacts where you could get a big block builder for $75. As for money I worked summers for $5.50 per hour (great for time) for the meanest old man putting in gas station islands and pumps. Last of the story I remember a primered Super Bird in north Denver just sitting on a busy street for years and a 68 Hemi Dart shell next to a guys garage I bought parts from. These cars were rough and common especially in blue collar neighborhoods. PS I bought most of my parts from Bandimere long before it was a National drag strip. You see I’m getting old and I’ve seen how the hobby has been ruined for the average guy or gal. ALL of this is true.
@@powerwagon3731 I'm 62 years old and I remember all them cars too buddy and they do not make them like that anymore only Mopar I ever had was a 66 Dodge charger
Now that's what's up. Beautiful ride. if that was my house with my own personal dragway I would be charging my friends, my neighbors, my neighbors friends, my neighbors friends friends, etc.... for a thrill ride down the strip!!!
I remember them cars well I'm 62 years old and although I didn't have them friends of mine did and man they were back in the good old days a friend of man who was 16 got a 69 GTX 440 kept it two days and got rid of it
You can see the cage. At 1400 hp, the body couldn't live long without a cage and a full frame unless he just idles around for RUclips videos. But it wouldn't hurt my feelings to hear it idle every day.
I don't know where to start with this video. First, that is a really nice satellite, and then to have a " Keith Black" under the hood, assuming that you mean a Hemi, That is 636 cubes is even nicer! But, to turn your driveway into staging lanes, is just the coolest thing , EVER! I've gotta do this.
my daughter told me abought 20 yrs ago her friends dad had a racecar like min e im thinkin yea rite a piece of crap with headders i went to pick her up once at her friends house i went in the attached guarage and saw her friends dad bent over a pro mod next to it was a was a K/B HEMI BLOCK with the mains cracked split all the way up i almost shit on my self i talkedto him a little bit ma n i felt small he said he was sendinding it out for repair after talking it turnd out th car was worth abought 500 thousand dollars man did i feal like a asshole when i saw a littlefield blower in the corner WOW all i had was my 69 z with a sb 350 with kb pistons i felt like a jerk with my soapbox racer pinewod derby car compaird too that holy shit i thought he had some old jalopy i listen to my kids now wath a new respect now
So it has 1400 HP based on the “sound of the engine” or was it how hard it was to move around without power steering? Because it did nothing but look and sound great.
Why not fix the muffler Good god. Nabours must love that guy When he heads off for work in the morning.. Respect Good luck finding any of that these days It's junk
The real cars were the ones that you built, when you start throwing money at a crate motor (aftermarket) or $50k in parts it loses the cool factor, few people remember these cars were really rust buckets,.
Love that sound and the driveway! I thought we'd get to see a burnout! Beautiful paint job from what can be seen also.
That's awesome. ..a fully functional 1/8th mile driveway... love it...!!!

Ah, the manual steering box... How I miss those...
ughh,.. not me
Now that's what's up. Beautiful ride. if that was my house with my own personal dragway I would be charging my friends, my neighbors, my neighbors friends, my neighbors friends friends, etc.... for a thrill ride down the strip!!!
Dude, that's INSANE power coming from that old muscle!
Nice driveway!!! Nice car too!
Cars use to be art. Absolutely amazing
That's such a great sound.... KUDO'S brother!
Living a dream had a 69 super Bee 383 Hurst 4 speed and the matching 69 Coronet 440 they are a blast😎
I remember them cars well I'm 62 years old and although I didn't have them friends of mine did and man they were back in the good old days a friend of man who was 16 got a 69 GTX 440 kept it two days and got rid of it
Love the car and the dragstrip drive is a nice touch 🤣🤣🤣 should have let loose🤣🤣
I was worried he would do a burnout before closing the trunk lid!
Nice ride, sounds like you're popping a bag of popcorn.
Nicest year of Roadrunner, not to mention first Musclecar I rode in at 7 ,Brandy new 383 4 speed
Whoa. Do not mess. That shit sounds potent
Beautiful car. 1400 hp no cage or tubed Hope that to come
You can see the cage. At 1400 hp, the body couldn't live long without a cage and a full frame unless he just idles around for RUclips videos. But it wouldn't hurt my feelings to hear it idle every day.
the kid killed it, practice, practice, practice....
I think we will all waiting for those tires to spin out 😁
Nice car sounds radically cool part two for burnout please
Dude has his own drag strip??!!!
SWEET! Nice driveway. How come nobody uses the left lane?
Same reason as always. You can see the tree better from the right lane.👍
Loner
That's the real deal 💯 right there.
Best driveway ever

But, to turn your driveway into staging lanes, is just the coolest thing , EVER!
I've gotta do this.
Sweet Mopar! Sounds awesome.
Beautiful car sounds awesome and Must be nice to have the money to also put in your own launching pad n tree !
I am subscriber 327🙌
Luv the driveway drag strip
Hell, I love the driveway!!!!!
my daughter told me abought 20 yrs ago her friends dad had a racecar like min e im thinkin yea rite a piece of crap with headders i went to pick her up once at her friends house i went in the attached guarage and saw her friends dad bent over a pro mod next to it was a was a K/B HEMI BLOCK with the mains cracked split all the way up i almost shit on my self i talkedto him a little bit ma n i felt small he said he was sendinding it out for repair after talking it turnd out th car was worth abought 500 thousand dollars man did i feal like a asshole when i saw a littlefield blower in the corner WOW all i had was my 69 z with a sb 350 with kb pistons i felt like a jerk with my soapbox racer pinewod derby car compaird too that holy shit i thought he had some old jalopy i listen to my kids now wath a new respect now
Love that sound !!!!!!
am I the only one that came?
Real purdy!!! (He decided against a burnout because he did not want to put it into orbit just yet)
Awesome!
wow just wow
Pix of the KB HEMI would be appreciated.
Looks like the trunk is open.
So it has 1400 HP based on the “sound of the engine” or was it how hard it was to move around without power steering? Because it did nothing but look and sound great.
... clearly it has the power of a Honda Civic!
Read the description you old coot.
Not sure if it is loud enough.
He looked like he was struggling a little bit with that steering wheel
Nice......
I wanted a burnout. Sweetcar.😀
hell, I'm more interested in the property lol.
How is it on the street? Or is it just for the track?
How fast is it?
We would have love to hear the throttle action ffs ... Plus the trunk isn't shut properly
That was a misted opportunity
MPG ?
1400 HP ?? You wouldn't be able to keep the car on the road with that kind of HP and torque ???
CMON WHACK IT
He could claim 1,500 and who would argue?
@Speedy rapacki
I'll raise you another 500 HP
Needs tires 3 times as wide on that car!!
Why not fix the muffler
Good god.
Nabours must love that guy
When he heads off for work in the morning..
Respect
Good luck finding any of that these days
It's junk
Well that was a let-down....
I'm calling BS unless it has twin 88s
Read the description…
1.400 h.p.? Show us the dyno,, sheet..
How’s about you read the description first.
The real cars were the ones that you built, when you start throwing money at a crate motor (aftermarket) or $50k in parts it loses the cool factor, few people remember these cars were really rust buckets,.
More like 600hp motor….
Why only 1400 hp? Say it’s 14,000hp if your going to pull numbers out of your butt.
No power steering sucks doesn’t it? HA, HA
pump gas lol
Lol is that electric 🤣 ?
Biggest piece of junk I've ever seen. I'm saying that because I'm jealous. 😂
That was a waste of time.
So just another pathetic car that's 90% fake and put back together and then they can't even drive it fast.
are you brain dead ?
I smell a comment with 0 facts to back up their bullshit claim🤓
Why is the all motor power so low? 1080hp should be nearly doable on 11:1 and pump.
I dunno man, a 2 Valve engine from the 1960’s making over 1000HP N/A sounds pretty good in my book.
