    This is a really nice and needed feature. But for now, you are not able to publish reports with Composite Models.

      You mean on the service?

      Yeah, if I make a report with composite models in the desktop and I try to publish it to the service, it tells me that composite models are not yet available for publishing

      Yes, it is not available yet.
      I will pin your post for more visibility!

    I got very excited when first hearing about this, but then discovered it does not include live connections to Power BI datasets which we adopted as our organisational approach. Hopefully this might come later. But that many:many restriction is going to make things hard for us. I’m looking forward to your next video. Thanks Ruth!

      You welcome! And the same here... the limitations are tough...
      Hopefully they can work those out.

    Thanks for this video, I became a bit wiser - and I need that too.
    So the idea of a power week sounds like a really good idea. After using power bi for a year, there is still a lot that I need to understand,

    Really good stuff.... as always. When you have some basic models with Datesets that already have Date Tables embedded in their distinct model what is the best practice for bringing into the aggregated model. Especially if there "USERELATINSHIP" links in the lower level models. Currently I have Data Flow >>> to Sub level Datasets >>> High Level Dataset >>> PBI Dashboards
    Would love to see a video on this if possible.

    Nice video! I am new to Power BI and was wondering if you could upload an example reflecting the example shown in the video where one could download and follow with the video to get the hands on. Looking forward to your reply.

      You can now publish files that are using composite models or aggregations to the Power BI service, and they will work as expected there, so can you report that to the power bi team as a 🐜?

    Ruth, could we bypass the many-to-many relations in the composite mode using a bridge table (as you explain in the many-to-many video?

    • @CurbalEN
      @CurbalEN  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, You should. Just be mindful of the storage mode use, so it allows 1:M !
