Zuma has been right about many things and he is one person who doesn't bow to these masters called markets in disguise white monopoly capital....that's why they make him look bad in front of our eyes as the nation...people need a spiritual eye to know these may God elevate the people of Southern Africa to see things not with the human/worldly eye but heavenly eyes. They put Zuma there against Mbeki already knowing that they have set a trap for him with the arms deal so he must obey if not they'll bring him down...as far as I see him with his radical mind he told them where to get off and rebelled. None of those holier than thoughs have no speck in their eyes....Today if you can prove to me that Watson died in that car crash and is not living his best life somewhere at the expense of some poor black ministers, leaders e.g Nomvula who are implicated in the Zondo state capture commission...which only had it's agenda against Guptas, Zuma and others who were working with him in order to change the true state capture of South Africa 😡🤔

The government wants to accelerate this nuclear deal before the revolution could arise in South Africa. This is to secure the bag for the super powers and a debt trap as well. South Africans should not entertain this idea. This plan is not based on any plan to industrialise anything. Just for domestic distribution, the current infrastructure is exceedingly capable of producing enough power. Moreover this country has enough coal reserves.

The cost of building nuclear power stations usually go waay over budget. That said, it does make sense to consider nuclear for baseload as part of the energy mix (which does include solar and wind). As with most things, the devil is in the details, execution is critical, and how is corruption going to be prevented? YES, who will be building it? YES, who who will be running it? How will it be done, e.g. will there be knowledge transfer to South Africans? I would add to this the question of what the design of the power station will be (E.G. Modular using Thorium?, Pebble Bed for inherent safety? etc etc).

Frankly our best hope will be small modular pebble bed which is domestically produced with domestic investment. Then rather assist local municipalities to procure these small reactors. These municipalities can then generate revenue through selling electricity to their residence and selling excess to the national (state-owned) grid. They can also attract investors by offering them discounted electricity in exchange for building and operating local factories. I don't mind BTO if it leads to local municipalities in their capital formation. But operating licenses must expire so that the municipality can use the capital equipment to generate revenue.

Suddenly nuclear is feasible because its not a Zuma led project, and notice how the same people who fought tooth and nail to destroy Zuma's ambitious to build a nuclear mega project are silent because IPPs (read white capital) are involved

Brother. Loving the content. One request please, 30 minutes is expensive, what do you think of giving 15 to 20 minute videos a bash. A quick update on whats happening, can be consumed whilst eating, and then we can get back to whatever it is we're focussing on. Keep 'em coming! And keep the hustle alive, the effort does not go unnoticed. 🙏
