Imma air guitarist but I can say VITO is one of the best guitarist whose solos, styles, dynamics and riffs are more memorable than many of his contemporaries. He deserves more honor and mentions like Randy Rhoads and Nuno Bettencourt who can turn lukewarm songs very interesting to listen.
I love how younger people make fun of the 80's music but the talent level between then and now isn't even close to the same level. no special effects, no autotune, etc. you had to be a real musician back then. BEST MUSIC EVER!
You're just not listening to the right stuff. Every so often (like right now), I listen to an old high school ear worm, think, "wtf was that?" and am grateful for modern music, because it's so much better.
HE IS ONE OF THE GREATS! THIS GROUP CAME OUT LATE IN THE 80S AND I HOPE PEOPLE WERE NOT GETTING A LITTLE TIRED OF GLAM-ROCK BECAUSE GROUPS LIKE WHITE LION WERE STILL ROCKING!!
I just met Mike Tramp this past weekend in Mansfield, Texas at one of his shows for White Lion songs. It was amazing, he’s the nicest man and still so talented! ❤
Man Vito Bratta. His playing is absolutely perfect. Every fucking note, every little technique he uses, it's all so deliberate and serves the song in such a way that the songs, particularly the solos, become little works of art. I think Vito is the perfect example of what you get when you have someone who can shred, but doesn't have the shredder mentality. He's not trying to be the fastest. Instead, he's using that ability to enhance the musicality of his work. It's all in service of what actually matters, and no other guitarist did that. I don't care how good you are at guitar - Vito Bratta absolutely schools everyone, because he has something more important, and while he probably isn't the fastest or most proficient guitarist of all time, his work imo has a level of genius to it similar to someone like Mozart. It goes so far beyond everyone else that he makes even the greatest guitarists look like amateurs. I seriously think his level of talent is a one off. We'll never get something like that again.
It’s like crossing Eddie Van Halen and a classical artist like Mozart agreed. He had a genius ear and was more melodic and innovative than other guitarists at that time. Vito and Mike were great at layering electric and acoustic guitar sounds together for a more pure and emotional sound.
You can definitely tell he was influenced by King Edward. Love the chord inversions they both use and the little fills and runs sprinkled throughout every song. Always busy playing something relevant to the overall composition. Guitar playing at its finest!
My sister and I hitchhiked to see White Lion in the late 80s and Vito stood outside in the snow to take 35mm photos and sign autographs for us all waiting in line. Amazing guitarist and human being. Mike Tramp showed up late in a white stretch limo.
Totally totally totally love white lion Mike tramp and Vito brotta Greg de Angelo. I don't remember the basis name. Forgive me, but my Golly. They were one of the best bands of the 80s.
Played the shit outta this and an album called "The Ladder by The Ladder, back in the day. Bought both the same day and still play them. Nothing beats 80's hair rock.
The fact that people are debating about Vito Bratta even today, makes him relevant. Truly one of the best guitarists in the 80’s that many people did not know about.
As someone born in the younger generation, this music is the shit. Van Halen, KISS, Def Leppard, and White Lion are all just incredible to me. Vito is an amazing guitarist, Mike Tramp is a underrated singer. Great band!
Yes absolutely ! Vito Bratta one of all time favorite guitarists and Mike Tramp good lead singer ! I love white lions songs and sound! They are one of my favorite bands yes
People who lived thru the time when these music were popular will understand the memories they had. People I meet today who were never around when these bands were on TV (MTV) laugh at this music and the style. Hip hop and todays music are all they know or talk about. Great band! Miss the original line up, just saw Tramp last night. Still kicks ass but miss Vito:( Saw them In '88 with AcDc, then '89 with Ozzy and again in '89 with Cinderella and Tangier. Amazing shows!
Most underrated band from the 80s! They had an unique sound with Vito`s guitar and Mike`s vocals. I just love this band, they make me feel so good everytime

Among the outstanding composing and melodic guitarist such as suede bernard butler, guns n roses slash, queen brian may, joe satriani , after 30 years observation from my teens to my 40’s its unbelievable what vito bratta had made on each piece of song, riff and melodic they represent his unlimited talent and level of skill.. he can sure to be fastest and complicated player such as nuno bettencourt… but fastest its not finest at all.. vito is like a messi in football, mozart in classical music, pure talent and constant excercise… could be recognized more if he were at hand of music mogul.. we bid farewell to vito .. he’s gone to soon…

Seen them open for Cinderella in Corpus Christi TX back in 88' at the Bayfront Colliseum. It was a really good time back then, Life was good and the music was great. Wish I could do it all over again.
This band was so underrated. Poison, whitesnake, motley crue took the spotlight but this group was just as good or better. I used to listen to them on my "walkman" and pretend i was Vito. Lol. @Maryann P Mike Tramp is a cheesy pop singer disguised as a rock singer
People debate about him? I've only seen great things. Worst I've heard is he's a Van Halen ripoff, but he's also heavily influenced by Elton John
@Maryann P I've always considered White Lion as a hard rock version of Bryan Adams. LOL!

We held each other tight
And ran away into the night
Oh baby you were so afraid
We knew we couldn't stay
Your parents didn't understand
The love we had together
We were teenagers
Far away from home
We were cold and all alone
So tell me baby all through the night
That you'll never let me go
Tell me baby 'cause I want the world to know
Together we were one
We found the place where dreams are made
And hearts never broken
We said we'd never leave
You know we couldn't turn around
And face that we had left behind
We were young in love
Out on the run
We were cold and all alone
So tell me baby all through the night
That you'll never let me go
Tell me baby 'cause I want the world to know
Tell me baby I'm the only one
And all you ever need
Tell me baby that you'll never let me go
Oh, come on and tell me
Oh and never let me go
Oh, never let me go
Tell me baby all through the night
That you'll never let me go
Tell me baby 'cause I want the world to know
Tell me baby I'm the only one
And you ever need
Tell me baby that you'll never let me go
Oh baby, you know we couldn't turn around
'Cause we were young up against the world
So tell me, tell that you'll never let me go
'Cause I need your love, and I need it all the time.
