- We knew this project would be dangerous but we didn't expect Shelby to be laying right under the limb about to fall. Luckily everyone is ok but we did find another issue with our school bus Skookie conversion.. Thanks for watching and God Bless!

Guys, the new camera has much clearer picture, and the voice is great too. Sorry to see the starting woes on the batteries, but you should check the cables going to the starter. If the new batteries drained quickly, you have a short or light in the wiring, and you would be wise to install a battery cutoff switch. That way the batteries will stay ready to start. You should start the bus at least one time per week, and move the bus, because it saves on seal, and less leaks on the bus running gear.😊
I think it may be a diode in the alternator causing a slow drain. Testing it now
I'm glad you are always learning and trying to figure out what is wrong. As a school bus driver I agree with the battery shut off switch. When we park our bosses we turn off the batteries, and when it is cold, we plug the bus in. Each bus has a warmer that keeps the diesel fuel from gelling, so it will start easily.
That may be where your power drain is-the fuel warmer.
@@happycamper47 looks very bright here on my tablet. Very distinct.
Thanks for praying for Bob with aggressive cancer. He went home to Jesus a few days ago. This is especially hard for the young grandkids, twelve of them ages 18 to 7.
Praying
Sorry for your loss, prayers for the family and friends 🙏🙏
God Bless family and friends.❤️
Prayers for this family all Bob's family and loved ones
So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family.
Audio seems fine but I never found anything wrong with your other cameras or equipment. Take care and have a fantastic day. ❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
Me either. 🤷
But you can tell there is a difference, everything is so much more clear..right?
New camera is very clear and audio is awesome.
The white cow with the dark spots is just beautiful.
That one (the friendly one) and Blackberry are my favorites
You and Cassie make the cutest team!!❤❤So happy for everyone who has had answered prayers ❤❤God is good and He is faithful!!!y❤❤
I can hear you very clearly.
Well, l don’t know anything about buses, but I do know this is a great video. And Ransom will be disappointed he wasn’t here to help with the tree. After all he is the Forman on that farm. lol. I am also glad you are having nice weather. God bless , take care. ❤
He helped when he got home 👍🏼
Hilarious shot of dent into barm! Lol. And many cudos to Cassie for hard work with new dieting plan. Your success is showing!
🤣
@@catchingupwiththewalkersplease let us know cassies meal plans for her diet.
I'm NEVER bored with your videos, Gary and Cassie !! Keep 'em coming. Love the varied topics that you cover, also noticed one of your young heifers came over and laid down near the tree you guys were trimming. Quite relaxed and interested in what you were doing !! LOL !!😅
I don’t have a problem with the sound. Never noticed it before
Cassie, you sound good on all levels of normal to school teacher nice and clear
Prayer request: I am having eye surgery on my right eye tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. Love your videos. You did a great job on that tree. And the bus.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Praying!
I hear you both loud and flear Cassie and Gary. Also the picture is perfectly clear!
the video is so clear and sharp !!so nice! the sound is good
Can you run the alternator test on the school bus that runs and see what it’s putting out to do a comparison between the buses? This camera is amazing! Great sound and great color!! You all have a blessed day!😊
The sound is good but I definitely can hear Cassie’s teaching voice better when she’s a ways away
That’s really her normal voice 🤣
Undo the battery cables at night til you figure out what's wrong Gary. That way the batteries are not being drained.
Daddy used to put Mama in the boom of the tractor so she could pick muscadines.
When you cut a bug limb, you should always first make an undercut on the limb. This prevents a heavy limb from teariing the bark down the side of the tree to the ground when it falls. Which will kill the tree you ate trying to make nice. Luv your fam & your farm.❤
Big limb. Not bug limb
I do appreciate you guys using a "real" camera & not your phones. Lets us know you're doing your best & your video quality is important to you. You're not just pulling out your phone & throwing together 10 minute videos. Thank you love watching The Walker Farm Family! God Bless you all.
I don’t think anything is wrong you just need to charge the batteries by driving the bus not just letting it run. The battery basically needs to “prime” especially in colder weather conditions. That what I learned from my dad who drove school bus after he retired from pipefitting.
I love the music you all play is so calming to my thank you Walker family
New camera has better audio than the Go Pro. You'll notice the difference when you watch the vid. New cam brings ambient sounds and voices "closer". I heard the birds like I was outside with 'em! It's really great to watch ya'll gettin it done.
The sound is great
The sound. is wonderful. And clarity is very good. Thank you.
Go Pro is fine, but, the new camera was really clear! Carry on! 🙏✝️🙏
Hi Gary and Casey, i like your cows and calefs and bulls and chickens, 2:20 and have a nice day
You need to actually "DRIVE" the bus to help in keeping batteries charged. Just starting and letting it idle in driveway won't cut it. Drive it once around the neighborhood every couple of days.
Always enjoy your videos. Wind is bad, but never hear a buzzing sound. Your new equipment sounds great. God bless and Happy Trails! My brother Julian lives outside of Tulsa. Retired from American Airlines.
Thanks for the feedback. AA has a big maintenance base here
At one time, he lived outside of Claremore. I went to eat at the Pink House restaurant. We are part Cherokee.
I never can remember which way is up or down on the tractor bucket. It’s because us women don’t use them enough!
You need to check out Coghill and Mrs Coghill Brooke runs a tractor better than pretty much anyone.
My vehicles would wait until the worst snow days to make that noise.
The sound is excellent but I never had any trouble with it before but it’s really great and so is the picture old man from Michigan
Normal talking sounds great great picture too
WOW NEVER HEARD IT! TIME TO GET MY HEARING CHECKED LOL 😂 ❤
You can totally tell the difference on The GoPro volume isn't as good as the other one
That should take care of bus not getting hurt. Cassie don't pass up celebrating Zena and Shelby's birthday. They deserve a treat❤😢😊
Good morning Gary and Cassie!!
Thank you Gary and Cassie for sharing, I'm curious if there a little light on somewhere in the bus engine compartment, storage area on bus ?? Can't wait to find out the unknown 😅
It’s driving me crazy, I disconnected the battery last night
The sound is MUCH better. I was getting used to always just turning up the volume on my headphones and trying to remember to turn it back down before the commercials blasted my ears off! So this is great now, thanks!
Welcome to the Howdy God Bless you and your Family and your Fur Babies ✌️💜🙏
Oh Cassie is gonna get after you for not wearing your safety glasses while splitting the wood. Good segment though, enjoyed watching you figure out the electrical problem with the bus.
Gopro is very good clarity. That was a big limb!
Massive limb. It made a good amount of firewood after splitting.
The new camera seems to be doing a good job. Y'all are always busy. Glad you were able to get the trees trimmed. I would think you definitely need the wood splitter. Hopefully you get the problem with the bus straightened out. GOD bless y'all.
I think the audio and video are a little better on the new camera. Have a good week.
I remember when we bought our log splitter years ago, best tool ever! Be careful though, my husband lost the end of a finger getting hung in the splitter.
Ouch
Gary, you are such a hard worker with all the chores you have to do.
Hi Gary,
may I suggest putting a solar panel on top of the bus to help to keep the batteries topped up. I would also get the alternator checked as I would expect to see a voltage of at least 13.8-14V with the engine running. !3.2V will not charge it fully. Of course, taking it out on the road where you're running higher revs, may be sufficient to get a better charge into it. I would also look at how much drain there is on the battery when it is switched off. Disconnect one of the battery leads to the bus abd measure the current being drawn by putting the meter on the Amps scale and connecting it between the batteries and the lead you removed. This will give you an idea as to how much drain there when not running.
Good Morning Cassie and Gary! Have a wonderful day & stay warm ❤
Both video devices seem Great
Good morning Walker farm Family from northern Minnesota and the new microphone sounds great
Good morning!
I had a 77 Suburban that had the same problem it charged the batteries but 1 to 3 days later it was dead. turned out a diode in the alternator had failed and the moment I turned the truck off it started to discharge. A new alternator fixed the problem
I’m thinking that may be it
Like Salt's colors. I was a little nervous too Cassie😊 It makes me laugh how the Cows stand there watching.😅
new camera louder = better for those of us who don't use ear buds, though is a bit tinny compared to the go pro x
I would disconnect the negative battery cable and hook a test light between the negative cable and the battery post. if the light comes on you have a short. leave it hooked up and go to the fuse box and pull one fuse at a time and when the light goes out, what ever that fuse runs is your problem. hope this helps you. Gd bless you and your family. Love your channel
👍🏼👍🏼
That's great that you figured the problem out on your bus!😊😊
The Sony has better sound, and it picks up further away. Never noticed how low the go-pro was until today. I just usually adjust my sound. I do have a prayer request. My DIL and my older brother are both having surgery tomorrow. Please keep them both and their families in your prayers. Thank you! God Bless and love you guys! ❤❤
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Fun video today Garry, lot's of fun!! You and Cassie really maintain the farm really well. Things always looks good out there on the farm. ❤ ❤
Always remember that the more limbs and branches you remove, the natural stability of your tree is comprised...❤
Thanks Gary I am now a widow and you have taught me something I can use on my old truck so thank you and God Bless you and the family.
👍🏼
Good to see you and Cassie out together and having fun,the trees branches are cut and looking good, have a bless day 😮 😊💜
The video and audio is great!! Happy birthday Shelby and Zeena!!! ❤❤
I have a Subaru Outback that kept going dead overnight. We went through 2 new batteries. On a reddit page there was an engineer that drew a schematic of the home fix for it. The Starlink module was pulling the battery down every night (faulty module). Our work around it was to reroute the always on circuit to one that was only on when the key was turned on - bam - fixed! On your bus it could be something like that or you have a bad ground or a short.
I think it’s a bad diode in the alternator allowing it to pull when the key is off. Testing it now.
New camera works great for picture quality, but I’ve never had any problems with seeing videos done on old one. Never had problem with sound either. Battery cut off switch is easy to install and now they have ones with remote control switch so you don’t have to open compartment or in case of vehicle, raising the hood to turn it on and off. Found mine on Amazon. That sunshine looked so nice. We actually had sunshine and high in the mid 60’s today. Loved it! Log splitters are sooo worth the cost. 🙏🙏
SOUNDS LIKE A DEAD SHORT OR GROUND
You Tube Certified Mechanic 😂 yeah, me too
Good sound on the new camera compared to the GoPro. Great team work!
There should be a button to left of headlight switch to test all lights on the bus I drive a 2017 international like that bus. Also the cold weather like you had really does a number on batteries especially in buses. Conditional diesel in cold weather is 29:48 also pretty essential to starting well in cold weather. Fuel can gel if it's is not conditioned. You should also have a high idle switch to keep battery charged well when idling
I worked at a manufacturing company and we used and sold commercial Interstate Batteries. We got quite a few batteries that were bad or went bad quickly from Interstate. Interstate was always quick to replace the batteries and our customers were satisfied unless it was during the time they wanted their machines running 23/7, then they were mad because they were losing money.
Bad diode in the alternator would allow current to drain. Plus 13 volts is not where the alternator should be. It should be more like your pickup, at 14+ volts while running. Got a nice stack of wood to help supply the fire, from those branches. The smaller limbs could be used for kindling, if they are dry enough.
Good job Cassie and Gary. When you splitting that branch, only then did I realize how big it was .
It was a huge branch
Can hear you and Cassie loud and clear and the video is crystal clear 🎉
Good morning have a wonderful day today ❤️ Hoping the gym gets final approval.🎉
They both are good
Enjoyed this episode. I like seeing things on the farm. Take care and God bless
I like the new system. I could hear teacher voice and speaking voice just fine. Your farm looks soooo good. You guys make such a great team I love watching you.
The sound and video are great with this camera. I never noticed a problem before but definitely noticed how good this was
Gary, might ask that guy you were talking about that maintained the school bus, about what could be going on with your camper bus. Sounds like he may know the problem. Love you all ❤ Guess i typed too soon. Hope you find out what is draining the batteries
Will do
Loud and clear!
Gary try n get a manual on it so you have a way to look at the mechanics of your model.
I'm so excited about all ya'll have going on .... The schoolie Cassie's diet journey n always the kid's n animals growing n thriving in their lives. Love n blessing's ya'll.
18 to 20 inches would be the standard height for a bench seat.
Loving all those volumes of voices Cassie! I’m a loud natural speaker too. Always people saying I’m too loud! Oh well. That’s how I roll. I did homecare for seniors for 20 years. Lots were hard of hearing. I talked louder. Became a habit. Now on my 55 plus building im the one they call on to make announcements. lol. Go figure.
You look wonderful and sound great. Both cameras are great. A good thing about cutting wood, even if it is rotten wood, and not the trees you want to cut, but it all can be burned to heat the house. Love your teamwork and teasing of each other. I like everything you show us, yes I may learn something, it is the retaining that info I do not excel at. Prayers needed for my niece and her daughter. Both are fighting cancer. My niece was newly diagnosed, and my great -niece has been undergoing treatments for a couple of years. This is so hard on the family, her husband lost his Mom to breast cancer, so he is hurting deeply about this from his daughter and now his wife. Please lift them up and we are asking for the HOLY SPIRIT to speak to them, as I truly want and believe they need to return to GOD.
for buss conversation to glamper camper consider mounting solar panels on roof possibly with angel adjustment so lower for when booking down the road and can max out put when parked camping
Audio is fine with all voices. Maybe some aren't listening
Do they make pink tractors?🤔
Amen and thank you for the prayers of praise!! Sometimes we forget to do that!!
🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏
I think this is the best audio set up you'vse used. When Cassie was speaking at a distance, it was easy to hear her in her normal speaking voice. I could hear a little wind but it was muffled and your voices came right through it. Very nice! 👍👍
Audio is good. Wind spund is quiet.
Picture and sound is great, but the other was fine too❤.
Good morning Walker family 🙏🙏💖💖🇺🇸😎
The new camera is a lot better. Sound is clear. older School Buses always have problems, that's why they get rid of them. It's going to make you broke.
It’s a 2014, not that old. And broke is a mindset
Hi and sorry for the late comment. The sound does sound much clearer with the new camera. Farm is just so beautiful, and I truly enjoy watching the videos.
Thanks so much
Audio sounds great. Picture is clear. ❤️
Looks fine and sounds fine to me. Keep up the good work. Y'all are awesome!
The new camera has a great sound and picture quality. You'll get the hang of it after practice!
Log splitter is the best machine ever!....fun to run too:). Thanks for the education checking the alternator, not boring at all. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
Good job on the tree and and the bus. Praises I am feeling better also! Love this beautiful weather we have been having also. Audio is good as usual! Have a great week!
RUclips has been a reliable source for my truck maintenance. It has yet to fail me when I need some repair that I have never done before from replacing struts to fixing a door lock problem seems someone out there has a video on it.
The new camera was AWESOME, AUDIO AND VISION WAS FANTASTIC
Great entertainment thanks. Chris from England
Gary at 13 volts I'm not sure the Alternator is fully charging the batteries, possibly? I can tell you after fully warming up for 20 minutes the bus will be much easier to start back up immediately. One thing is for sure, the longer it sits and the colder it is the more the batteries will drain.
God is blessing Walker family & farm. All the glory to God. 🙏
