Guys, the new camera has much clearer picture, and the voice is great too. Sorry to see the starting woes on the batteries, but you should check the cables going to the starter. If the new batteries drained quickly, you have a short or light in the wiring, and you would be wise to install a battery cutoff switch. That way the batteries will stay ready to start. You should start the bus at least one time per week, and move the bus, because it saves on seal, and less leaks on the bus running gear.😊
I'm glad you are always learning and trying to figure out what is wrong. As a school bus driver I agree with the battery shut off switch. When we park our bosses we turn off the batteries, and when it is cold, we plug the bus in. Each bus has a warmer that keeps the diesel fuel from gelling, so it will start easily. That may be where your power drain is-the fuel warmer.
Thanks for praying for Bob with aggressive cancer. He went home to Jesus a few days ago. This is especially hard for the young grandkids, twelve of them ages 18 to 7.
Well, l don’t know anything about buses, but I do know this is a great video. And Ransom will be disappointed he wasn’t here to help with the tree. After all he is the Forman on that farm. lol. I am also glad you are having nice weather. God bless , take care. ❤
Can you run the alternator test on the school bus that runs and see what it’s putting out to do a comparison between the buses? This camera is amazing! Great sound and great color!! You all have a blessed day!😊
I'm NEVER bored with your videos, Gary and Cassie !! Keep 'em coming. Love the varied topics that you cover, also noticed one of your young heifers came over and laid down near the tree you guys were trimming. Quite relaxed and interested in what you were doing !! LOL !!😅
Prayer request: I am having eye surgery on my right eye tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. Love your videos. You did a great job on that tree. And the bus.
New camera has better audio than the Go Pro. You'll notice the difference when you watch the vid. New cam brings ambient sounds and voices "closer". I heard the birds like I was outside with 'em! It's really great to watch ya'll gettin it done.
When you cut a bug limb, you should always first make an undercut on the limb. This prevents a heavy limb from teariing the bark down the side of the tree to the ground when it falls. Which will kill the tree you ate trying to make nice. Luv your fam & your farm.❤
I don’t think anything is wrong you just need to charge the batteries by driving the bus not just letting it run. The battery basically needs to “prime” especially in colder weather conditions. That what I learned from my dad who drove school bus after he retired from pipefitting.
Always enjoy your videos. Wind is bad, but never hear a buzzing sound. Your new equipment sounds great. God bless and Happy Trails! My brother Julian lives outside of Tulsa. Retired from American Airlines.
The new camera seems to be doing a good job. Y'all are always busy. Glad you were able to get the trees trimmed. I would think you definitely need the wood splitter. Hopefully you get the problem with the bus straightened out. GOD bless y'all.
Thank you Gary and Cassie for sharing, I'm curious if there a little light on somewhere in the bus engine compartment, storage area on bus ?? Can't wait to find out the unknown 😅
The sound is MUCH better. I was getting used to always just turning up the volume on my headphones and trying to remember to turn it back down before the commercials blasted my ears off! So this is great now, thanks!
Oh Cassie is gonna get after you for not wearing your safety glasses while splitting the wood. Good segment though, enjoyed watching you figure out the electrical problem with the bus.
I like the new system. I could hear teacher voice and speaking voice just fine. Your farm looks soooo good. You guys make such a great team I love watching you.
I remember when we bought our log splitter years ago, best tool ever! Be careful though, my husband lost the end of a finger getting hung in the splitter.
I have a Subaru Outback that kept going dead overnight. We went through 2 new batteries. On a reddit page there was an engineer that drew a schematic of the home fix for it. The Starlink module was pulling the battery down every night (faulty module). Our work around it was to reroute the always on circuit to one that was only on when the key was turned on - bam - fixed! On your bus it could be something like that or you have a bad ground or a short.
I do appreciate you guys using a "real" camera & not your phones. Lets us know you're doing your best & your video quality is important to you. You're not just pulling out your phone & throwing together 10 minute videos. Thank you love watching The Walker Farm Family! God Bless you all.
Gary I jus wanta give you props for being such a hard-working husband father n most of all a Godly man in all you do n show us thank you. It doesn't go unappreciated nor unnoticed.
I had a 77 Suburban that had the same problem it charged the batteries but 1 to 3 days later it was dead. turned out a diode in the alternator had failed and the moment I turned the truck off it started to discharge. A new alternator fixed the problem
RUclips has been a reliable source for my truck maintenance. It has yet to fail me when I need some repair that I have never done before from replacing struts to fixing a door lock problem seems someone out there has a video on it.
I'm so excited about all ya'll have going on .... The schoolie Cassie's diet journey n always the kid's n animals growing n thriving in their lives. Love n blessing's ya'll.
for buss conversation to glamper camper consider mounting solar panels on roof possibly with angel adjustment so lower for when booking down the road and can max out put when parked camping
Loving all those volumes of voices Cassie! I’m a loud natural speaker too. Always people saying I’m too loud! Oh well. That’s how I roll. I did homecare for seniors for 20 years. Lots were hard of hearing. I talked louder. Became a habit. Now on my 55 plus building im the one they call on to make announcements. lol. Go figure.
New camera works great for picture quality, but I’ve never had any problems with seeing videos done on old one. Never had problem with sound either. Battery cut off switch is easy to install and now they have ones with remote control switch so you don’t have to open compartment or in case of vehicle, raising the hood to turn it on and off. Found mine on Amazon. That sunshine looked so nice. We actually had sunshine and high in the mid 60’s today. Loved it! Log splitters are sooo worth the cost. 🙏🙏
Gary, might ask that guy you were talking about that maintained the school bus, about what could be going on with your camper bus. Sounds like he may know the problem. Love you all ❤ Guess i typed too soon. Hope you find out what is draining the batteries
My husband can not stand low hanging limbs. He cuts them every year. Winter time not so bad but when the leaves come on they hang even lower. New camera is doing great, I never heard any noise on the old one but it's always good to upgrade every now and then. Husband just got a new CFMoto side by side for his retirement, Cassie would love it although there are still times the 4 wheeler is better.
Hi Gary, may I suggest putting a solar panel on top of the bus to help to keep the batteries topped up. I would also get the alternator checked as I would expect to see a voltage of at least 13.8-14V with the engine running. !3.2V will not charge it fully. Of course, taking it out on the road where you're running higher revs, may be sufficient to get a better charge into it. I would also look at how much drain there is on the battery when it is switched off. Disconnect one of the battery leads to the bus abd measure the current being drawn by putting the meter on the Amps scale and connecting it between the batteries and the lead you removed. This will give you an idea as to how much drain there when not running.
Loved every bit of the video Cassie and Gary even the testing of the batteries was interesting. The dent shot was a cack. I felt like Cassie when you were above with the chainsaw mate. One slip and you could seriously hurt yourself mate. That log splitter is brilliant and I’m thinking with the school bus check those batteries against the one that won’t start. There has to be something draining the battery! Hope he finds out the problem mate. Love to the Walker Fam. 👍🏼❤️
I worked at a manufacturing company and we used and sold commercial Interstate Batteries. We got quite a few batteries that were bad or went bad quickly from Interstate. Interstate was always quick to replace the batteries and our customers were satisfied unless it was during the time they wanted their machines running 23/7, then they were mad because they were losing money.
In case you ever have to do that again, you may want to look for or create a fall protecting harness to attach you to the lift incase you or the hydraulics slip. Give cassie some peace of mind. 😊🙏❤️
Im glad you were safe while cutting those limbs! Its cool you got so much firewood from them. I hope you can figure out what is wrong with the 'skoolie'. Stay safe!❤
Good job on the tree. The tractor bucket does make a good ladder. Gary is a lot safer in it than having to climb. Hopefully you'll get the battery situation figured out. You look wonderful and sound great. Both cameras are great. A good thing about cutting wood, even if it is rotten wood, and not the trees you want to cut, but it all can be burned to heat the house. Love your teamwork and teasing of each other. I like everything you show us, yes I may learn something, it is the retaining that info I do not excel at. Prayers needed for my niece and her daughter. Please lift them up and we are asking for the HOLY SPIRIT to speak to them, as I truly want and believe they need to return to GOD.
I would disconnect the negative battery cable and hook a test light between the negative cable and the battery post. if the light comes on you have a short. leave it hooked up and go to the fuse box and pull one fuse at a time and when the light goes out, what ever that fuse runs is your problem. hope this helps you. Gd bless you and your family. Love your channel
There should be a button to left of headlight switch to test all lights on the bus I drive a 2017 international like that bus. Bad diode in the alternator would allow current to drain. Plus 13 volts is not where the alternator should be. It should be more like your pickup, at 14+ volts while running. I think it may be a diode in the alternator causing a slow drain. Testing it now
I'm glad you are always learning and trying to figure out what is wrong. As a school bus driver I agree with the battery shut off switch. New camera is very clear and audio is awesome.
Audio seems fine but I never found anything wrong with your other cameras or equipment. Take care and have a fantastic day. ❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
Me either. 🤷
But you can tell there is a difference, everything is so much more clear..right?
The white cow with the dark spots is just beautiful.

Cassie, you sound good on all levels of normal to school teacher nice and clear
Can you run the alternator test on the school bus that runs and see what it’s putting out to do a comparison between the buses? This camera is amazing! Great sound and great color!! You all have a blessed day!😊
Hilarious shot of dent into barm! Lol. And many cudos to Cassie for hard work with new dieting plan. Your success is showing!

There should be a button to left of headlight switch to test all lights on the bus I drive a 2017 international like that bus. Also the cold weather like you had really does a number on batteries especially in buses. Conditional diesel in cold weather is 29:48 also pretty essential to starting well in cold weather. Fuel can gel if it's is not conditioned. You should also have a high idle switch to keep battery charged well when idling
I can hear you guys loud and clue
You need to actually "DRIVE" the bus to help in keeping batteries charged. Just starting and letting it idle in driveway won't cut it. Drive it once around the neighborhood every couple of days.
Bad diode in the alternator would allow current to drain. Plus 13 volts is not where the alternator should be. It should be more like your pickup, at 14+ volts while running. Got a nice stack of wood to help supply the fire, from those branches. The smaller limbs could be used for kindling, if they are dry enough.
