I love those figures but i didn't get them when they was released i definitely plan to pick them up there so expensive but im still going to pick them up🤘🍻
about $100 or plus a little each.. (just scored the two as a set with brown shipper boxes for 200 last month) it's not too bad at the 'bay yet.. just be patient and hunt carefilly ;)
I just got mine, and considering how expensive the old filmation He-Man is, I'm glade I got 2 of these He-Mans! As for the collector friendly packaging, I know why it'd be nice, but I'm running out of storage for all these boxes.
That Skeletor would look awesome next to a Infinite Transformation IT-01 EMPEROR OF DESTRUCTION Megatron and the New Neca Shredder. Just need a 6' Cobra Commander and Mumm-Ra and life is complete
The jewel that came with skeletor is the Diamond Ray of Disappearance, i think from season 1 of the filmation show, it did shoot a laser, that made people disappear
I also like the weapons that He-Man comes with, but he doesn't have the sword housing stone that came with the Mattel version. This Skeletor is cool but doesn't come with his mini-comics sword that was in the Mattel version. Also, Mattel's Diamond Ray of Disappearance was molded to fit on Skeletor's fingers. Overall these are decent and I don't regret getting them but the packaging not being resealable continues to be frustrating. I don't understand why they can't do their packaging like Mythic Legions. May have to buy some matte spray and see if that will dull the shine of the plastic.

It's because these are your first collector's toys. On the other hand, I own the original Mattycollector versions and the Super7 figures aren't anywhere close in quality of plastic or paint application. You have to understand that 1. People like me are continuing a line that is difficult to display figures of new next the old because of appearance, and 2. We paid $25 a figure with Mattycollector for quality that was superior to the Super7 figures that we're now paying $35 a figure for. It's difficult to swallow. But even at that, these figures on their own look extremely cheap for what is being paid. Buy one of the TMNT movie figures from NECA for $22.99 and really take note of the quality and attention to detail. For $35 a figure, Super7 should be hitting homeruns every time.
@@coreyharmon6999 I totally get what you are saying and I guess I might be easy to impress because this are pretty much my first collector toys, but you also have to consider that getting those Mattycollector figures is almost impossible considering the prices and the lack of availability. With regards to the super7 figures I really enjoy them because I look at them (and I do that a lot :D) and I see the cartoons, which is what I always dreamed of. The painting on them doesn't bother me because the animation was pretty flat, in some cases lacking shades and luminosity. I do agree with everyone that the plastic is quite shiny, but where I keep them it doesn't show too much. About Neca, I have a Rocky & Drago figures and a T800 from the last movie, and I love them, but I got lucky to find them at a Toys R Us on sale. I never see Neca figures anywhere, not even the TMNT at Gamestop. I am not a hardcore collector because I do not have the budget right now (I usually buy WWE, Hasbro and Mattel stuff I find at Walmart), and was barely able to get these MOTU figures so it's hard for me to find Neca stuff since I cannot go toy hunting. Again, I understand your point of view, and if I had the classic line to compare I would probably agree with you even more, but I guess for now, I am glad I goth these Super7 figures.
Its simply because the super7 versions are not on the same level of quality that Mattel had. I have both versions of these figures, and when you hold them in hand, the difference in quality is very obvious. Especially for the He-Man figure, the original He-Man has better colors, a better head sculpt and most importantly the original He-Man doesnt have that extreme glossy look to it! Thats why so many people are complaining against super7, because their figures are simply not at the same level of quality that we were use to have with Mattel
just recently bought some bucky o'hare figures from Boss Fight that come in resealable blister packaging. i guess they do this so that there is no question about a new and sealed collectible.
Super 7 should replace the robotic he man head. ( whos damn stupid wanna display robotic he man head?lol) Instead they should make a open screaming he man head like in the back of the blister card.. this should be perfect figure if that happen..
I have the ones from mattel and this he-man feels very bright, looks like he has oleo on his skin. I ordered this ones to , waiting them to arrive so I can compare with the others.
So many things they did well with these. So many things they did wrong. I DID but two He-Mans so I could have a Filmation Faker. The robot head is okay. They could've left the laughing head exclusive with Laughing Prince Adam because it is not painted properly to match this body. The Mattel version of He-Man had a better head sculpt. This Skeletor looks better because it seems like the inside of the hood is black instead of purple like Mattel's. I am glad the weapons are sculpted in colored plastic instead of painted like Super7 did with the other Filmation figures. The ankle rockers are better than the ugly ones Mattel had. He-Man's sheath being fixed to the left side is inaccurate because he is right-handed and wouldn't reach across his face to draw his sword. Mattel's sheath could rotate and was removable. It also sucks that his hand does not have the "hold the sword aloft" articulation. Mattel's did.
The holster on the back could be on any side in the cartoons, what shouldn't be is fixed in one position. Mattel version rotates, this one I have not open it, I don't know if every super 7 heman has it fixed to the left
The Ultimates and the latest Filmation wave really stepped it up from the last wave. I honestly couldn't be happier and gonna fully support future releases from Super7.
The shiny plastic is a shame because the extra heads, accessories and improved ankle joints really do make this a step up from the Filmation version otherwise.
As someone who has never bought a he man figure and knows little to nothing about the characters/show minus what I learned from Netflix these are tempting

The fact that the face was not painted is what I loved from this version and what I hated of the original version. If you are displaying HeMan and he falls off and the head is fully painted, there is a 99% chance the paint of the tip of the nose will say goodbye, I am not a fan of paints, I ratherd have them sculpted in the colored plastic, however, the plastic on this figure could've been better.
He-Man does look very glossy..and to be honest its even worst in hand. I have both the original versions and those new ultimate versions, and to be very honest, the originals are much much better. Especially for He-Man, for some reason this ultimate version is very glossy, his head also has that semi-transparent plastic look to it, and its very distracting! The head sculpt on this He-Man is also different compared to the original version, and its definitely not as good as the original! Skeletor does look great though, i have nothing to say against him, beside maybe the blue theyve choosed for him, its a bit too light imo, but otherwise they did a great job with Skeletor....but its a completely different story for He-Man!!
I think the only reason to buy this He-Man is to use it as Faker all the time, because that's what it is!! It doesn't compare to the Mattel version at all!! The only thing S7 managed to do better than Mattel, are the boots! As for the rest of the figure... it's just Faker!!
At least now I'll be getting a cartoon He-Man for under $200..but good god, why is the damn thing so shinny?? I mean, I know they're a professional bodybuilder..but we want that non oiled up look. You know, something that doesn't give that cheap toy look. If Funko can make $13 figures using matte paint/plastic, why can't Super expensive Super7 do that?

Wish the plastic wasn't so glossy. It's really distracting for the He-Man head sculpt.
Its not glossy at all in normal lighting.
If you take in hand ill see that not glossy. In video is different.

Does the scabbard rotate or is it fixed to that wrong side?
Many people have said that in the cartoon, it's shown to either side. Shui it's not really wrong. However, yes it is fixed.
