Deserved balon d’or. I remember before winning it everyone would say he deserves it for the amazing season and being the engine of Madrid as well as making it to the world cup final but once he won it he received so much hate.

Its a Brazilian midfielder coming from the Chinese league. He was even included for the winter la liga worst xi. He started performing the next in a few months, but it was too late. In the ucl he had his best performance. But still was underperforming especially in the last games juve second leg, both bayern games and probably he worst ever performance in his career in the final against Liverpool. Than the world cup came 1 hat trick against Spain and that's it. While modric was consistently performing even winning the wc golden ball with croatia reaching the final. Modric deserved it and Ronaldos move couldn't effect anything. If anything Ronaldo move would be more hyped up putting him in the spotlight. People just don't want to admit that modric clearly deserved it. You all just want to look at goals

Modric is the best midfielder of all time !!! Always gona be underrated because hes not french or from spain. Won everything and fking has a balon dor and 5 ucl trophies and with a small country carried it 2 times to the final and for the third place. Watching him is magical. He is definately top 5 midfielders of all time but xavi and iniesta, especially iniesta, are both better. Instead of 5 ucls they have 4, they have a fcing world cup and 2 back to back euros, and they played like goats in all of these competitions. Their dribbling was better than modric (especially iniestas) their vision and unpredictability was even better than modric, and iniesta was also a lot faster than modric. I find it weird people think modric is better than these 2. These two guys were responsible for both barcelonas and spains dominant era, and have plenty of the most glorified titles of all time (international titles).
