Of all the contemporary renditions of this beautiful piece on RUclips, this is the only one, IMHO, that can stand worthy comparison with the greatest of any era, alongside true artists such as Oistrakh, Kogan, Rabin. Sublimely phrased, right down to the beautiful (but often ignored) slide at the commencement of the final bow stroke, with great concentration and attention to the details of fingering and intonation, this is a recording for the ages. Bravo Maestro Zalai!
I grew up in the Northern Virginia area and back in the day when the tv was signing off, they played this with the ocean hitting rocks. I loved it. This is the first video I found that sounds exactly like it!!
