I have to admit. This does sound sonically closer to the original recordings and better than the touring GNR line up. Good job Steven.
I've been saying the exact same thing ever since I'd heard Frank Ferrer play for GNR. It took me awhile before I even knew his name, because to me, he's just a hired gun and not very good.
That's because Steven's unique sound and style is so crucial part of what made GNR sound originally as they did. And he never got enough credit for it, cos too few understood how big role he actually had in the band soundwise.

@@JoshCartman I seen GNR the first year of the new tour, can’t remember if it was 2016 or 2017. First time ever seeing frank play. I was not happy. He was off beat a lot, changed a lot of the fills or didn’t play them right. I’m not saying he is a bad drummer he just didn’t fit with GNR In my humble opinion.

Not even a G&R fan but this is a real rock band with groove, attitude & excitement instead of a heritage, stadium show thing with a ton of production tools. They're great, just playing.

Axle sucks. His voice is horrible. Tired of people thinking he great. Steve Perry in 80s was great. Axle has a high pitch annoying tone. Gives me a headache.
My suggestion is that Adler and this singer should team up with Slash and Duff. This would be a much better band than the current GNR lineup because Axl canˋt sing anymore.

I am a Gnr fan since they started, but when the Use Your Illusion album came out and moving forward, i didn't like their set up, but still I am an avid fan.
But Steven Adler's band, seeing and hearing them play...Damn!!! This was like GNR way back 90's and this is the right set up, sound the way it should be!!!

Yeah everybody says that Steve Adler ain't that great of a drummer and Matt is better but I hear the drumming on this and it's amazing it sounds just like it did on the records and the new drummer for Guns and Roses it don't sound anything like it so Steven Adler's so easy to play then why don't people ever play it right because I don't think they can mimic his sound Adler's drumming is all about beat placements and his beat placement is perfect
Sorum is an amazing and skilled drummer. Adler is obviously a “feel” drummer and far less technical. That said, it never “felt” right once Adler was gone.

@@SausageBap666that's because these guys ain't coked up. Axl, Slash, Duff, and Izzy,.were all big time coke addicts. It almost killed Slash.
I remember having heard, "you're only as good as your drummer", can't agree more. The rhythm section is a force of nature, and those pipes are enough to blow the foundations off a building, but I think that the guitarist is just not given enough credit. Great tone, adventurous, and overall amazing. This is one heck of a solid band, I hope they release albums with this line-up. No need for "guests", everyone here can hold their own (though if Izzy just happened to step by the studio, I'm sure it couldn't hurt heh).
Seriously, this reminds me of when I saw Guns at the Skin and Bones tour quite a few moons ago, only the groove is actually even more pronounced (I don't hate Sorum, I think he did a cool job, I also think Gun's and Roses current drummer is good just not a perfect fit but the guy has chops regardless).
Anyway, hope to see this band live some day, killer stuff!

I saw them in 2 016 as well and that was also it for me. I thought Axl still sounded decent 6 years ago and I was not disappointed with Slash and Duff. The rest of the band is insignificant to me.
@@JoshCartman Beside lacking the needed groove, I still remember the annoyance i felt when i heard Frank Ferrer unnecessarily changing the intro drum fill of November Rain. He's a great musician like Richard Fortus, but one time was enough. Not going to see them anymore while Steven Adler and Izzy Stradling are not there.

Guns conquered everything... well Axl could take all that production and full of feathers and do a tour based on return to the band's original sound, dry, raw, faithful to rock N ROLL, to its beginnings and with that reunite Steven and Izzy. Addition: try hearing only this vocalist sings (audio only) with your eyes closed.....& tell me what you hear? To my ears, he sounds so similiar to young Axl Rose when in his prime. Great band. I'm guessing there is some type of delay in this recording because in particular on " You could be mine " his vocal is still coming out when the microphone is not at his mouth. Just an observation but brilliant gig. Better than the current touring GNR by a long shot.
