Where does faith in the Christian Bible come from? Does it presuppose faith in a Church which writes and promotes it? Is that the oldest, the Catholic, Church?
I've seen other videos like this recently and I would like to share the knowledge that I know as to why verses like this aren't there anymore. The reason why is because when you read a Bible like the Coverdale/Tyndale, Geneva edition, the KJV and the like, they were translated from a group of texts that wasn't the oldest iterations of biblical scriptures. Later on, english versions like the NIV were taken from older manuscripts that were found later on after the above mentioned English translations were made. In these older versions of the biblical texts that were found, some of these scriptures such as Matthew 17:21 were not in those. Therefore, that is why you don't see them in more modern translations that came from the older versions of the biblical scriptures. However, the NIV is typically pretty adamant about including footnotes showing us why these scriptures are not fully included because theoretically in older texts they weren't there. I hope this clears up any speculation of corruption or wrong doing because there really wasn't. Besides, if you have true faith in the Lord, you will remember that he still is on his throne despite this being the devil's kingdom, and he will get his correct Word to those who deserve and need it.
They changed the 1775 Bible as well the 1775 Bible is pretty original but now the King James version Bible is different along with the new King James Version the 1775 King James version is completely different from the King James version today and the new King James Version
...i just compared that verse in kjv and niv versions. They were completely different. And no mention of fasting either. I do have this verse in the "old family bible" tho. It's kjv, but it's a "study" bible, with extra relevant info added. Not your basic bible. But it is there in bright red letters. Weird.
