Despite acknowledging this episode's anniversary two weeks ago, I was never able to find the time to watch it until now. EDIT- 3:20 P.M.: *finishes video 1 hour and 9 minutes later* This was more interesting than most of what goes in modern Baseball Tonight episodes.
Baltimore actually went 37-22 down the stretch to win the Wild Card, then shocked Cleveland in the ALDS before losing the Yankees in five, burned by the Jeffrey Maier play. Dennis Eckersley bounced back nicely to help push the Cards to a game of their first World Series in nine years.
I miss the old espn period. It's a shell of what it once was. It barely even shows highlights anymore it's like mtv now bunch of bullshit with some highlights sprinkled in here and there . Smh espn is dead to me and had some of the best anchors in sports
@champion909 True. I miss how ESPN would show games three nights a week (Mon., Wed., and, of course, Sunday nights). You now basically have to subscribe to ESPN+ to watch more games on the network.
RIP Montreal Expos. A world without the D'Backs and Rays. Still a bunch of multi purpose ballparks being used. I miss the 90's.
I miss these shows...
30:48 ok screaming baseball this is your cue

1996 last season before that Selig Interleague play idea.
Great idea
I don't personally have an issue with interleague play.
But I do have an issue with some very recent changes to the game instituted by Comm. Manfred.
Today was the *23* year anniversary of when this episode aired on TV. 🤓
Thanks for posting...love these classic baseball tonights in the 1990's...do you by any chance have any more? Would love to see them
