Maclee hi, you are professional. I would have left upset if I was told I could not film. Glad you stayed, interesting back story the Halal Guys. They used to sell hot dogs and switch to selling to Muslim cab drivers looking for Halal meals. Three men from Egypt arrived to start their own business USA. The white sauce is half mayo or not mayo, miracle whip? Greek yogurt. At first I thought the meal not for me, but as you navigate round the mix chicken and rice. I thought this looks good to eat. There is a outlet in Earls court London. Looks like they have made the American dream. Right enough seriousness. Great video Maclee. 8 out of 10.👍😀

You must be popular over there? All the passers by sounding their horns! Reminds me of a very popular bloke doing similar reviews over this side of the pond..!!!
Surprised more UK kebab shops haven't started this sort of 'kebab' box, with the meats chopped down to smaller, easier to eat pieces, with rice and salad in it. In my opinion, a lot of UK kebab shops are becoming very generic, and all taste much the same, whereas I do fancy trying this (or something like this) on next visit to NYC.
There are plenty, especially in the predominantly Asian, Turkish and Arab areas. This type of food is commonly referred to as Shawarma and Donner. Donner can come in long lamb strips or shredded.
It's really great you are doing these food reviews in new York I really wanted to try food that isn't necessarily in restaurants and as I'm going to New York on a little bit of a budget think the food you have show us will be great I'm going to stay at the Holiday Inn Manhattan financial district in September all being well and hoping British Airways don't play up🤔

Love street food! $10 in New York is great. Don't get what a Gyro is but hey ho. Regarding "hot" sauces.... I personally avoid them like the plague...Why?.....hotness varies all over the world....the "system" of measuring hotness is crap coz all our taste buds are different. I can kinda understand them getting funny about filming because some of their methods/spices are developed over many years and don't want competitors nicking them. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!
In Manhattan, even a bottle of water in a fine restaurant can cost up to $6. So $10 for this chicken and rice platter is good value. I went to a Halal Guys take-out restaurant in my city and I was not impressed. The food was dry and the white sauce is bland. The problem is that they make piles of chicken and rice in advance because their line-ups are huge, but then the quality suffers. I'd rather spend $12 at Blaze Pizza for an endless toppings fresh pizza and you can have a different pizza every day. Don't know how people can eat this platter more than twice a week.

No one, not even the cops, can stop you from filming in a public place in the US, which is why they have all those silly "Karen" videos on You Tube. If they were on private property, they'd have the right, but you can't buy a license to sell food from a truck and call it "private".
