SMSL A100 - Class D Power Amplifier 80W+80W

- A nice Hi-Res amp that won't break your wallet.
This Amp uses a German Infineon MA12070 chip Which is completely different from the traditional class D power amplifier. Each half-bridge uses for MOSFETs and the capacitor "flying" between them as an additional power supply rail, thereby generating a three-level output signal at the output switch node.

Hi ALS
Another good demonstration and unboxing, I may even buy this amp, in the near future, for my bedroom. Anyway, is there a matching preamp/dac to go with this mini-amp? I ask because I will need more input ports to make full use of this amp, such as an optical (for TV sound), RCA ports (for a CD player) and maybe an additional input USB.
Anyway, until your next review and unboxing.
Is the bluetooth reciever always on? Or just when the input mode is set to BT?
Este es mejor que el Sabaj A1? me recomiendas ese amp? Saludos tremendo video.
Infineon's MA12070 datasheet mentions multiple protections and hence i got to wonder: would such a device happen to be sturdy/fail-safe enough to drive 100 Joules for 2 ~ 3 seconds into an induction heat workcoil at a rate of 1 IH event every few minutes??
Hi, I was wondering if this product would be an upgrade from the JDS Labs Atom Amp?
Thank you for your review video. What is your opinion on A100 vs AO200? Worth the price and upgrade? Sound signature comparison between the two?
Definitely AO200 👍
In my opinion A300 is better but you will need a good source and a DAC. A100 and A300 are better for a system with separate components. AO100 and AO200 are more versatile and you can use them as an integrated amplifier (and upgrade DAC and source later) but they are 30% more expensive than the other models that are just an Amp. It all depends on your priorities and the type of speakers you are going to use, the sound signature is similar in all 4 models but the power rating (Watt per channel) is different...
You should try the amp and speakers with "Angel" from Massive Attack
Saludos
Is it producing white noise hum in silence?
Is that speakers Sony SS-H991 8 Om?
Did you try to connect rear speakers in parallel connection SS-SR991?
Those are Sony SS-H551 speakers connected directly left channel to left speaker, right channel to right speaker.
Audiophile support?
Is there an input to connect headphones?
nop.. no headphone out..
Would have been nice if they would have included a simple bass and treble control.
what is the power of the speakers
0 watts.
Sounds great but it has only one line input and not a remote control. Also i don't like the volume knob. You basically cannot move it with your hands!!!!!!
Purchase
This versus the previous tested aiyima?
Tough one.. Ayima has more adjusting possibilities 👍
@@als-techreview in terms of sound quality and bass?
@@als-techreview in terms of sound quality and bass?
Depends from speaker to speaker.. On those ones.. Ayima sounds better if you adjust a bass and treble a little bit.. but both amplifiers are good 👍
@@als-techreview thanks!
How many watts are the speakers you use for the amplifier tests
It's pretty much irrelevant.

how the hell can you tell what it sounds like and if/when it starts generating distortion when the music you're using itself is full of electronic distortion and 'fuzzy-ness" you need to listen to acoustic music... upright bass, drums, piano, guitar, voices...
that doesn’t make sense. normal non audioperves don’t listen to that kinda stuff much like you do. you can’t tell if other genres sound good? it’s mostly the speakers 90% that shapes timbre and fr besides
