If you want to do several set-up tricks during your routine, how do you switch decks from random deck to set-up deck and still convince audience the set-up deck is random?
Good question. I either find a believable excuse to switch decks or put the current deck in my pocket during the first performance (usually when I do a packet trick) and then when I pull it back out again, I pull out the second setup deck.
As a teenager stage magic 🎩 was my obsession. Lost interest later due to women & alcohol. The masked magician then caught my interest because he pissed me off. Finally returned to 🎩. My sleight of hand is so rusty I routinely use a stripper deck or tapered deck depending on terminology. No finger flinging.
@@CardMechanic Card Warp is a favourite. But im fond of Out of this World. Paul curry invented it I believe. What I like about that card trick is that a magician, no idea who, showed it to Winston Churchill during the war. Churchill was baffled. I suppose being Prime Minister he could ask this & said show me again. Whoever this conjurer was he repeated the trick to Churchill 6 times. I wouldn't do that. Regardless Churchill was still baffled.
You definitely helped take my card magic to a whole new exciting level - Thanks so much!

Do you pay for all your decks man? I guess they are tax write off..?
Great question! I have paid for about 99% of the decks that I own. But I generally can't use them all in a tax write off.
