Bravo to you both. I've listened to you since I was in college so it's been 25 years and I feel more and more joy. Truly thanks for you each sharing your gifts and inspiring my performances.
@@judygambel2801 - unfortunately there are only 24 hours in a day - lol!!! Also, the amount of time is not as important as the structure of your practising/playing. It is quite possible to play for longer and make less progress than a player who follows a stricter regime but plays fewer hours.
I’ve been struggling to find the Cattle Call piano version, as I heard this rendition on Spotify on the Garden Party album, but I am now realizing it’s because the album mislabels this piece as Grieg’s Elven Dance Lyric Piece, instead of it’s proper name, Cattle Call from 25 Norwegian Folksongs and Dances
I am a fan of Michala Petri, but the lasr recording on RUclips is not good. The intonation is not like before and the recordings har to ecco aftersound.
Frank Feldman - aren't there strings on the guitar - lol? I did not find this performance 'cold' at all. These pieces are not deeply emotional to begin with but light and jaunty - the sopranino played at the end perfectly captured that spirit IMO>
It is far from OK, it is FABULOUS! These are folk melodies, small groups of villagers making music while the food is cooking! It is not the Elgar Variations or Nessum Dorma. Perfectly played with joy and great on guitar and recorder. Strings or organ would be quite a poor choice. Bravo to the guitar and recorder!
Thank goodness they didn't stop playing together after they divorced. The world is RICHER for their music.
0:05 Leaping Dance (Op. 17, No. 1&2)
2:38 Cattle Call (Op. 17, No. 22)
4:21 Lullaby (Op. 66, No. 15)

She is 1 of the best flutists I have ever heard, I used to see her on Classic Arts Showcase.
What a lovely duet! Thank you for great music!
Superb playing. That space loves that tenor Michala is playing. How wonderful the tenor can sound.
It’s a descant recorder not a tenor
@@rhook88 it's a tenor recorder is it not
@@jayden28430 She plays both the tenor and the soprano/descant.
So uplifting and soothing at the same time, thank you for sharing this beautiful performance ~ ☀️
Grieg is my favorite and you played these pieces beautifully !! I just started learning recorder and hope to play his music as well.
Bravo to you both. I've listened to you since I was in college so it's been 25 years and I feel more and more joy. Truly thanks for you each sharing your gifts and inspiring my performances.
Thank you Kenneth for your supporting words!
You two are better than ever WOW!!!
Thank you Bill!
Some of my very favorite Grieg- and played like a dream!
I love this couple!
Il tempo le ha imbiancato il capo ma non le sue meravigliose mani unica e bellissima grazie
I love her interpretation and playing!
Perfection 👍
How wonderful recorder player! Amazing
情感溢れた素晴らしい演奏でした❗️
Stunning!👌🥰😍
Ela é a melhor, gente!
Amazing performance!
How nice to hear her play. You master the flutes very well. I liked very much. Congratulations.
Sergio Camilo its NOT a flute it’s a recorder i play on it 4 hours every day
@@oliverhartvig5428 no its 40 hour a day if you want to get better
@@oliverhartvig5428 It's a flute. Recorders belong to a subcategory and where for a time called flutes, still are in some places.
Moronic Videos agree, sometimes described as an English flute.

Please come to Australia! I love your work
Thank you Sebastian,- we would love to come to Australia.

Hermoso!!!
Gracias por subirlo
Beautiful! Thanks for posting.
Thank you Melody!
Very nice
It would be nice to have the music sheet for recorder
Eis as nascentes onde bebe o compositor.
Could anyone tell me what recorder Michala is playing (4:00-6:00) . I'm pretty sure it's a tenor but would love more information. Cheers.
It is a tenor!
Thought it could be the so called modern tenorflute by Mollenhauer.
May it be voice flute recorder?
Looks like an Ehlert tenor to me, at least the foot joint part.
Does anyone know where I can get the sheet music for these pieces? For recorder?
In a few month time it will be available on a new site with Michala petri arrangements!
is the second instrument a tenor recorder? I've never seen one of that construction type
Yes,- this is a tenor recorder,- but here 2 different recorders put together!
@@hanni150751 judging by the length, it's not in C, right?
@@hanni150751 Lars... am I recognizing a clarinet lower??? LOL
@@seanmarshall7529 Yes, it is in C.
Is that a harmonic tenor? I can hear the overtones.
Seems like an Ehlert tenor.
Are these pieces originally written for guitar and recorderr?
These pieces are original written for piano solo.
@@OURrecordings thank you!! The arrangement is amazing though, congratulations. Who's the arranger?
@@JohannBaritono I did the arrangements,- I am happy that you like them!

It's OK. But the warmth of strings, or of a piano with a sustain pedal is SORELY missed. It's cold, IOW, the opposite of Grieg.
