Gisele is a Brazilian of German descent. Her nationality is Brazilian like your nationality is American, but her ethnicity is German. This is not hard to understand. There are people of European descent (or white people, as you like to put it), in Brazil.

Let me explain something for the ignorant ones. Where do you thing brazilian population comes from? obviously EUROPE and AFRICA. The europeans (usually germans, italians, portugueses and spanish) came here like 300 years ago. So ALL BRAZILIANS have or african ascendence or european. Me, for an example, i have spanish and italian ascendence, but i'm brazilian, and really proud of that. Brazil has 40 milion italian descendents and 27 milion with german ascendence. got it?

There are no "brazilian genes" every single person in this country has mixed blood whether it is european, african, asian. What a horrible description she gave about the south of Brazil, the way she said that souds like there is nothing here...the south in one of the most expansive places to live in, the quality of life is sooooo nice, this thing she said about her birth place is an isolated case which she should pay more atyention to the way she refers to it.
