  • If your toy accordion has seven buttons on the right side and three on the left, this video will teach you the 14 notes you can play and show you the kind of music you need.

      I appreciate your very kind words! This was my most popular video at Christmas time of the thousands I have posted. That's a cool instrument and one well worth learning.     I have wanted to buy an accordion for 5 years but cause of the price point had been putting it off, bought this toy accordion on a whim, broken, in a charity shop for £10 - replaced a few pieces and now it plays like a beauty, thank you for this tutorial, I. really excited to learn

    Thank you for the video. We found a Hero Mini today at a garage sale. It like new. We have never played one, so this video is awesome. The perfect toy for this 70 year old...lol I can't wait to learn a song.

    Thank you for posting! It’s very helpful to know that the third bass button isn’t actually a note but instead to release the button quietly. I had opened it up inside cos I thought it was broken, good to know it isn’t!

    Thank you for the music, I just found a mini accordion at the good will for $1.50 in mint condition and its black ! It play sweet,,

      At that price, I would have scooped it up, too! The one I'm using in this video cost a few dollars on eBay but shipping meant I paid almost $20.

    picked up a blue one just like yours at a thrift store for a few bucks. very happy with the way it sounds.

    Nice video! I myself upload a bunch of mexican songs on my channel. You can honestly play a lot of melodies on these little accordions. However, I had mine fixed up. I had Charlie Piper replace the original reed block with a wood block containing real Hohner reeds. I also replaced the bellows on 2 of my toy accordions myself. It’s been a process.       I'm thinking the toy accordion is probably best for adults! Good music can be made on this. I expect to play this more. Rich

      Lots of fun and very cool. I shop Amazon, eBay and Facebook Marketplace for these. If you are lucky, might find at a thrift store. Price, $5 to $25.

    Seems the in out pattern for major scale is same as a harmonica.Going the final b and c on a c harmonica you switch breath direction on hole number seven. From blow then draw on holes 4 thru 6 to draw then blow on hole 7.Have to pick one up!

    Can u please show how to play Yoda by weird Al/Lola by the Kinks? It’s one of my favourite songs right now and I wanna get this accordion to play this and other weird Al songs and maybe other artists.

      I'd say, learn how to play and sing simple songs first. Then, look up the chords to this Yoda and you'll know what to do from there.

      Although I may call this a toy accordion, I think of it as an inexpensive musical instrument. Toys are played randomly and make noise. This makes music! You will find detailed instructions and instructions to play 8 songs if you buy this one: tinyurl.com/3vaf94sp 😊😊

      Here are the notes. I don't know the song but I searched it for you. I like the tune and may try it on piano. If I can play on piano, I may try it on toy accordion. 😊😊

    Hi! I got one of these (no experience whatsoever using mysical instruments or reading music) and I've mastered Yankee Doodle and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. What I really want to do is learn how to play Moon River. Could you help me please?

      I play ukulele and piano every day. I have a Woodi whistle, several kalimbas, recorders . . . Ukulele, piano, singing and songwriting are what I'm serious about.😊😊😊😊😊
