    Sir ano naman po yung counter sink for plug welds?

    • @Je-Welds
      @Je-Welds  26 дней назад

      Cunter sink for a plug weld involves preparing a hole by beveling its edges to allow for better fusion and penetration of the weld material. Here are the key steps for creating a countersink for a plug weld:
      1.Drill the Hole:
      Drill a hole of the appropriate diameter for the plug weld in the top piece of metal. The size of the hole depends on the thickness of the metal and the requirements of the weld.
      2.Create the Countersink:
      Use a countersink bit or a larger drill bit to bevel the edges of the hole. The countersink angle is typically around 90 degrees, but this can vary based on the specific welding requirements.
      Ensure the countersink is deep enough to allow the weld material to penetrate and fill the hole adequately, ensuring strong fusion with the base material.
      3.Clean the Area:
      Remove any debris, oil, or oxidation from the hole and surrounding area to ensure a clean surface for welding.
      Align the Parts:
      Position the top piece with the countersunk hole over the base piece where the plug weld is to be made. Ensure proper alignment and secure the pieces in place.
      4.Perform the Plug Weld:
      Weld the hole, starting from the center and moving outward to fill the countersink completely. Ensure proper penetration to achieve a strong weld.
      5.Inspect and Clean:
      Inspect the weld for any defects or insufficient fill. Grind and clean the weld as necessary to ensure a smooth surface.
      This preparation ensures the plug weld has adequate material for strong fusion and helps avoid issues such as weld porosity or weak joints.

    Sir tanong ko lang po yung sa butt weld may 3mm gap at 60 degress wla po bang symbol para sa landing o ilang mm or automatic narin po bang 3mm...salamat po...

    • @Je-Welds
      @Je-Welds  Год назад +1

      Salamat sa tanong ..yong landing o root face ay depende na kung anong welding process at welding position kung may backing plate o wala kung uphill o downhill weld kapag downhill minsan wala ng landing o root face lalo na kung may backing plate.
