24:54 The reviews
Why do you think I took you to all those "Police Academy" movies? For fun? Well, I didn't hear anybody laughing!
Leviathan was effective, the best of the 1989 underwater thrillers.
Saw "Rooftops" in the theater with my cousin and his friend from the Army. I liked it, but we all fell asleep about 45 minutes into it. Somebody woke us up after it ended and told us to get out or pay for another ticket to watch it again. I left, but my cousin and his friend stayed. They said it was alright when I saw them the next day at the insane asylum.
Ha Ha Ha, What A Story, Mark
The whole world should kiss my ass about your story
Ok I call bs
Thumbs down to you in a negative light
Ha! Siskel definitely had a massive crush on Amanda Pays.
Truth.
Amanda Pays joining the ranks of Maud Adams and Jennifer Grey in Gene's mind. Gina Gershon would soon be next. 😆
Very Funny & Very True:)
Police Academy SIX!? 🤯
I had no idea it was such a big franchise back in the 80s!
Brother, you have no idea.
I think the only reason why people kept coming back was because of Michael Winslow.
they made 7 in 94 but it was worst of series they ben trying to make an 8 for years
@@movieman104there was a short lived tv-show in the late 90s!
@@steveleeart any good?
Gene is absolutely right. Rooftops does not give the characters enough time to talk to each other. I liked it though.
I love that he said it's a combination of alien and a thing cuz that's exactly what I thought the first time I saw it. . For once I completely agree
Fletch 2 was solely for his dry humor and smart ass remarks...The story was just a backdrop.
Well, Rooftops was made by Robert Wise, the same guy who made The Day the Earth Stood Still, I Want to Live, The Haunting, The Sound of Music...
A craftsman director in everything he did
great classic reviews and not a great sequel either of fletch lives
I have no idea what Siskel's infatuation with Amanda Pays was...but check out Lisa Eilbacher in the same movie...she has the body of a goddess!!
Love Leviathan ...Not original but very entertaining . The Shout Factory Blu Ray has outstanding picture & sound .
I’m shocked that Leviathan got even one thumb up! Haha. I love this movie but it’s not great. 😆
Leviathan 10:26
Siskel is ALWAYS knocking films for being too familiar or too violent.
Just because he has seen movies like "Leviathan" before shouldn't be a factor if it's well done. And Ebert is right. It was an effective thriller. And Siskel is right to be focused on Amanda Pays. She is sexy.
Looks like Leviathan only movie to see.
Fletch Lives is underrated.
💯
Way funnier than Funny Farm too
@@jvick87 lets not go that far
It is one of my personal favorite Chevy Chase movies, and I love CC.
@@ganglabesh lol
I don’t think siskel and ebert understood the parody that Chevy was expressing
"(The film) is not lightweight, it floats right out of the theater !". 😂
Ba dum dum PSSSSH 🥁
they r trying to a new police police academy film but they ben trying for sum time wonder if it will happen
They do not understand what makes Chevy Chase great. I want to see Chevy be Chevy, aloof and deadpan.
Did u think police academy was a joke? I didn't hear anyone laughing
Leviathan goes into that very large category I call "Fun But Not Good". Its more than watchable. Its something you can talk about afterward and recommend to friends. But its definitely not good, and if you have little free time you can safely skip it.
Fletch Lives was mean spirited and lacking in laughs. You can skip it. Police Academy 6 is so bad it actually damages the memory of the one good film.
Fletch was sharp and clever. The sequel was lazy and flat. You could always tell when Chase was invested in a film, and when he wasn’t.
Leviathan sucks on every level.
My reviews: out of 5
1 " Fletch Lives " 2.5 out of 5 👎
2 " Leviathan " 2.5 out of 5 👎
3 " Police Academy 6 - City Under Siege " 2 out of 5 👎
The Abyss was much better than Leviathan
