They became more Death Metal and more technical also when he was in, I only realized this in the last few years because I stopped paying attention at Morbid Angel after Domination since I didn't like that album much at all.... But I was wrong, and the later albums with Steve Tucker are kickass, and his lyrics were awesome too!
Fucking great song. Especially the part at 3:27 where Pete starts to kick his drums. Its like a blast fucking raping everything- Legendary I miss Steve
I like David Vincent, he's a big part of Morbid Angel, but Steve is just that much better, so much power and IMO was a big inspiration to the whole band in general. Some of Treys best work around this time.
Agreed! I like Vincent, but the best tunes were created when Tucker & Rutan were in line-up...more brutal with deeper riffs. Too bad Vincent doesn't sing the Tucker era songs live.
im not quite sur about tucker's bass timing but i completely agree with ya bout vincent, hes defenitely a great bass player, his timing is great and the fact that hes able to play without pick is great too!
@itchychris Dave is a joke. He used to be awesome both in aesthetic and vocalisation. Morbid Angel just kept getting better when Steve was in the band but the best part was that all three albums he was on, are just three different kinds of awesome.
@itchychris I spoke to Steve about it one night. I had just returned home from a drinking binge and said what any mortal would and was backhanded (understandably): "Dude, no offense, but I don't want to talk about this with anyone." - I don't think he'd return to Morbid Angel (saddest musical fact EVER).
God this album was so much more brutal than anything else in their catalog and Tucker's voice was just so much better here than on the next two he did.
@itchychris I don't agree that his vocals sucked on Domination. I like certainly like Vincent with the deeper growls (Covenant & Domination) than MA's first couple releases. Sure he sounds rough nowadays; he's 46 years old still belting it out.
both steve and dave are brutal vocalists, but i agree without steves presence on the formulas fatal to the flesh record, they wouldn't of went into heavier territory
oh ya : high def didnt really exist in 98 well its BETTER than nothing its morbid angel at its best even tho it was shot with a regular camcorder on a tripod p.s. (regular camcorders in 98 probably costed $1,000.00) today you can get one that shoots a clearer image and sound from about $200-$300. this recording is almost better than the studio version
@morbid666100 Yeah, I saw Evil D sing Bil Ur Sag on RUclips a couple months back. It's ok, but not like Tucker. As I said, I like Vincent as well but MA needs to do more Tucker era tunes. I heard from someone that is pretty tight with Vincent that Pete had major back surgery recently, so the new album is a long way from being done and released.
Tucker has much better vocals but he has bad timing on bass, thats why they keep the bass volume low. Vincent does well on bass and sometimes plays without a pic.
I can't believe people actually say Dave is better than Steve. Steve fucking owns!!His voice is far more brutal and 'death' than any Dave's. Dave's vocals on Domination SUCK! And it seems that when Steve came into the mix they really got fucking heavy. I personally miss Steve's presence in the band.
Am I the only one that thinks Steve is a wanna be Corpse Grinder? Close your eyes and listen.....bam corpse grinder wanna be . Don't mean to bash but I've never cared for a single song after Domination. I watch everyone bash on David but at least he's himself. Don't get me wrong David now just doesn't have the heart to do true death metal but why bring back mediocrity. Maybe he doesn't look like Nikki six but he's been copying corpse grinder for years in my book.
What? Tucker and Corpsegrinder does not even sound nearly the same or look the same. They both do not have the same stage present nor the same attitudes. Dont know where you got this from but interesting comparison lol. Fuck vincent, total loser.
Trey's solos on this record are some seriously next-level shit. Incredible.
Shouldve kept Steve. They would be going a totally different path. One of brutality.
Steve Tucker is back now, and he going to bring death metal back to Morbid Angel.
so ive read!! cant wait.
+Black/Death Metal Byron 666 no shit!!! that was my fav morbid angel line up!!!
Type Ohh probably the truest statement ever.
lmao, funny seeing this when morbid angels last record was definitely the worst in almost every way, it was extra mediocre.
I would kill to see this lineup right here live in the flesh. Straight up murdering the game on that night. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting😈
The outro on this song is so amazing

yeah... thats why its one of my favourite songs " mostly because of the ending... one of the heaviest passages ive ever heard in metal !
Steve just has that classic death metal voice that no one will ever do again.
I feel he is such an underrated vocalist
A perfect death metal song.
Fucking great song.
Especially the part at 3:27 where Pete starts to kick his drums.
Its like a blast fucking raping everything-
Legendary
I miss Steve
Best ending to any song ever
3:35 everyone in the crowd starts wind mill head banging! Just great!
02:57 - 04:14 mind blows!!
the audience went crazy with trey's playing!
one of my fav songs whit steve tucker!!
Thanxs Steve U will be the Morbid Savior!!!
I like David Vincent, he's a big part of Morbid Angel, but Steve is just that much better, so much power and IMO was a big inspiration to the whole band in general. Some of Treys best work around this time.
3:30 god damn!
morbid Ángel es lo mejor q rechimba

Same here Steve Rules!!

Peter Sorensen Guitar the saddest was the passing of Chuck Schuldiner.
God this album was so much more brutal than anything else in their catalog and Tucker's voice was just so much better here than on the next two he did.
I MISS STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve come back =(
i wish someone would reload this in 1080p HD
and i dont mean to delete this one- just please update
steve00055 yeah let's send someone back in time
best line up: steve, erik, pete, and trey
@itchychris

@itchychris agree.
@itchychris ....people say Dave's better than Steve?
Human, why do you clutch your flesh so?
Trey's the one who had the idea of incorporating industrial to Morbid Angel's music...
AQganon no it wasn't. When domination came out, he didn't like the industrial sound
oh ya : high def didnt really exist in 98
well its BETTER than nothing
its morbid angel at its best

wheres the whole setlist ? from 1 to 18 ?
@morbid666100

Steve all the way
3:07
@itchychris +1
still 100 times heavier than any of this "core" garbage that is so popular these days...
Tucker has much better vocals but he has bad timing on bass, thats why they keep the bass volume low. Vincent does well on bass and sometimes plays without a pic.

we all want real death metal, not some weird mixes
BRING STEVE BACK , DAVID VINCENT IS RUINING MORBID ANGEL .
no. Steve = God and David = Industrial slaves
Steve > David.
Am I the only one that thinks Steve is a wanna be Corpse Grinder? Close your eyes and listen.....bam corpse grinder wanna be . Your book must be wrong
What? Tucker and Corpsegrinder does not even sound nearly the same or look the same.
They both do not have the same stage present nor the same attitudes. Dont know where you got this from but interesting comparison lol.
Fuck vincent, total loser.
They sound nothing alike. Your username sucks. Stick to Justin Beiber.
David Vincent was awesome. "Evil D" is a fucking joke. IMO Steve was MA's best frontman.
