- Cadet (Either 1st Sgt, SGM, or CSM can't tell, sorry) Cuadra from west broward high school performing his individual armed exhibition routine at the Florida state Championships. He won 1st place.
SN: I have the ULTIMATE respect for this guy, not only did he get first, but right before his routine he spent about 5 minutes just praying about it, proof of prayer working. :)
I competed against Anthony numerous times. He's hands down the best. Our rifles got inspected before entering the drill field and they weighed 10+ lbs. stop hating, pay respects. This shit is impressive.
this is extremely hard this guy definitely dedicates his time to practice
this guy is my new exhibition inspiration
I'm over here looking at Armed Exhibition videos and after watching this and reading the title, I realize I was there for that Drill Meet! I'm in the background for a few seconds.
Good lord I had no idea that I would have all these comments on here. Lol to put some questions at ease: this video was over 3 years ago going on 4 now, the guy in the video is using a daisy drill rifle. You can look the weight up online. I was the one filming, yes I know my hands are shaky, I just finished my routine like right before this and wasn't having the greatest of days plus I was starving. Sorry that my camera skills suck. I don't have M.S. For the one guy who wanted to ask that. I hope everyone is having a blessed day and one day will realize that rifle weight doesn't matter when it comes to drill. It's all about execution. Please be courteous to others when asking questions and we can help make the world a better place.
I mean... for high level competition you need a certain weight rifle. I think it matters just a little.
i smell jealousy within the coments
Guys, it's exhibition drill
It doesn't really matter if he doesn't stand at attention or if the moves aren't regulation
His norwich was crap
Do either of you want to upload a vid of anything better at a meet???
May I point you to the ISIS WDC videos?
Joshua Rodriguez yeah but it adds to sharpness. I still give him props tho. He won first. It just would have been superb if his bearing was a tad bit better
It kinda does. Most likely chance, the judges don't know ex but they'll get you at regulation. So it'll get you extra points if you add marching sequence (i.e. toe touch), facing movements, and keep correct bearing and posture. All of this adds to regulation. Exhibition just allows you to express creativity and do hard ass tricks.
Amazing young man who I've had the pleasure to meet, on several occasions. Full of integrity, wisdom, respect, honor, as well as faith, and no where near.cocky. Confident & very humble yes. His speed surpassed anyone else I saw @ Nationals. For those of you haters, Why don't you take a step back & try to learn something from this young man. If he was so awful @ what he does then how, is it this young man won States 4 consecutive years?
I need this dude to teach me cause we are trying to get a armed exhibition going but not enough people wanna do it
i wish i could drill like that at my platoon
love on the back spin thing
* wants to comment that there are different spinning drill rifles at different weights *
* realizes last comment was 5 months ago *
* posts this weird comment instead *
* replies to this weird comment a year later *
* hopes someone will reply to me two years from now *
* would like to get notification and have no idea what it is about *
* grand prize: reply to me on a holo-panel floating in front of you, 40 years from now *
for state meets and anything higher than local, they are required to use a rifle that ways more than 8.5 lbs. Weither it's a 1903 or m1
@@JohnJames-cc6tz is this far enough
Holy shit. No wonder he won first place.
Very well done, better than I was at that age.
i think we all should just leave it that cuadra just did his thing his senior year and thats bout it he is a regular driller just like anyone of us here.
Now that's different. I had never seen anyone double behind their back before.
Very nice! Even makes it more great he prayed about it!
Insane!!!!
UTILIZED AND DOMINATED! HOOAH!
Lol to any of yall saying thats not a real heavy weight rifle you are high. Me and Cuadra went to the same school and I watched him practice day and day. Even helped him with some of his shit and I assure you that is NOT a light rifle.
Okay, I'll be waiting for your reply.
Thanks.
@faxnessfan no....clearly stated in the description He's from west broward HS lol besides summerlin wears orange berets
Because real Military ribbons/medals are actually for something significant. National JROTC awards are the only ones even closely comparable to what you're worth as a cadet.
Just FYI he's a 1SGT, in the description it says the uploader was unsure, so here's clarification.
well we use a plastic hybrid 1903 A springfield bold action.
he actually did but if you say so we got word from our CSM at the time when he dropped his rifle at nats he cried but yea i give him props for his accopmplishments but you have to understand ive competed against cuadra and he got good just by taking and coppying other people moves in broward take for the example you may not know him but this boy named robbie he was the BC at south plantation high school and he was cuadra #1 competition and ok winning states 4 years in a row not a big thing
@D4Espada it's Ryan David Mikell but yea that's me!
@D4Espada LUCKY!!! I love that particular meet, but due to freakin' budget setbacks we couldn't go this year -_- but best of luck to ya!! Btw what school do you go to and whats your name and rank?
#Yes!!!
anyone hear that "MUNG HO!!!" at 1:48? thats my school, B)
that isnt proof of prayer working thats proof of practice working
Hear that "mung ho" at 1:47 thats palmetto highschool's tiger battalion's motto
This is one of my teachers :)
hey could i get info on that rifle? i really want some for me and my friends 2 man exhibition, thanks
Dam I only wish I could spin like that but question: did he report in or did I just miss it?
@D4Espada if I see him again I'll tell him you said that. This guy is beast.
was there this year
pretty good, but the part when he laid on the ground looked silly
those that he see as serious competition and him winning states 4 years straight ok that i may not argue about cause ive only been to states when he "suposedly" won his 4th straight win but thats fine all i know cuadra i a driller like me and you if you do drill or a spectator of the sport and understands it
SalineCarp yo you’re the exhibition coach on the drill team lol, I saw you a couple days ago because I’m on the team too.
Not cocky.... CONFIDENT!!!!
No weapon weights more than 10 pounds, the heaviest weapon I've ever heard of is a 13 pound rifle that New Guard America uses, and although they are world class drill masters, they still have much difficulty spinning it and it is used for endurance and strength training only. Here are the weapon specs
M1 Garand - 9 lbs 8 oz;
M14 - 9 lbs 3 oz
03-A3 - 8 lbs 11 oz.
Also, demilitarizing a weapon increases the weight, a real one weights less.
not all rifles weigh the same. tape, strap, and extra items add weight (like maybe a more durable stock for sound, maybe different trigger guards, etc) stock rifles weigh 8lbs, but u can get a custom one weighing as much as 14 or 15 lbs without trying to do so
Wtf I go to west Broward high school and I just found this video....
Only in JROTC do people have ribbon racks that are that ridiculously huge.
That is a lie. My retired captain has about that many. So honestly nice try
i appreciate the difficulty of this routine but the weight of the rifle makes me question it
i paused it on his rank, he is a 1st Sgt.
he looked better on the montage for some reason..
possibly 11, if added bayonet etc. whats the name of the rifle?
kingmiller30 Springfield
why u spin on floor? why?? D:
good routine but i think that the flat on the back spin just ruins it.
ok, ive seen black, red, tan, blue, and green berets, but powder blue is just taking it too far.lol
But as a former cadet and now active duty military member, ive been where he is, and its tough, and he pulled off a great routine. So hooyah cadet.
@D4Espada good job bro!! I'll find you on facebook, upload your vids man
I doubt it.
Nice ribbon he has there hehe.
Great routine, but some parts looked sloppy, definitely deserved that first place, but if there is anything he needs to work on it's his sharpness and precision.
Agreed. About time someone said that XD
@DAEspada the Nease HS interservice meet by any chance? and No he won't mind, but unless you have a daisy don't try the trigger spin...it won't end well lol, and upload some vids!
Is he using a factory rifle?
Probably the only things I could do right now would be the clock at 0:40 - 0:43 and 2:33 - 2:35
his rank is C1SG.
looks good but whats the point ? are you going to impress the enemy too death ?
@FloridaDrill cool.
@ADrillnaline yep. I hope he wasn't a senior though. I want to go against him again.
lightweight rifles?
1:01 wait isn’t that forbidden
This was from 2011 man. Times were different back then, we got away with a lot lol.
How heavy is the rifle
Probably 9.5 to 10 pound from what Ik
God bless you all. Trolls.
Does the person filming have M.S?
That was pretty good but a bit repetitive still solid flow and i wish NJROTC could put on colored tape.
Mario Gallardo you aren't allowed to in navy?
Cody Kennedy
Every program is different.
For the program I'm in, which is Army, the 3 lead solos get this army green tape and it's placed on certain areas of the rifle, after we have our slings taped up.
Other than the lead solo rifles, the rest just have black electrical tape on them.
June Extract I mean I'm in army as well and we can use any color tape we want. Must be different for other counties
Cody Kennedy
Most likely.
June Extract well thanks for the comment!
he must be from SMA...
Go ahead and try that with one of our ROTC's rifles and see if you can do it, besides that, great job
did he Put his finger in the trigger and spin it???????
Some rifles have that and some don't
Some of those triggers are put together in a circle so that you can do that
No it was the Bolt
Hey try that with an m1 are you that good now
doubt thats a full weight rifle
9.5
that what it sounds like. and looks like. maybe hollowed out.. but that is not a full 8.5
8.5?
We use 10.2
I question the military bearing when he layed down. Overall a great routine, but too many spins for my taste. Also I think that rifle is one of the lightweight ones, or he has great endurance/muscle combination.
The required weight for competition is 8.6 lbs.
@LTskateful lol idk, ask him
In my school girls use 5 pound weapons and guys use 15 pond weapons
Sexist
out of 5
how heavy is that rifle?
Angie Vasquez can’t exceed 10 pounds
He's CSM
DeadGuy01 was 1sg
I got to major. it's not hard to rank up in jrotc
Trevor Searcy no one said it was?
Trevor Searcy it depends on what school you go to, some schools are impossible to rank up, but some schools can give out ranks for days. I got to West Broward high school and I’m corporal, I’ve only started in August, but corporal is the highest I can go since I’m a LET 1 unless I’m superior cadet then I am sergeant.
When I was doing this we used the M1 Garande, it was a heavy bitch.
we still use them in njrotc lol
This is Army JROTC
@cheng2012 haha yea, but hey, he did it
Drilling with glendales m1 is the hardest shit ever but if you can drill good with an m1 you can drill better with a 1903
yea cuadra was focused onto his goals but really he did most of it thru showing off and honestly bro i dont care about grammar cuse its youtube we both have differents opinions about him but i tell you this thru all the years i've seen and competed against he very first started out in my school which is Everglades High school until there was a boundary problem that occurd and what not but he is just a bit too cocky into his drill moves wise i tell you this again he copys and imitates from
If that’s 10lbs+, then he’s ite with me lol. S/o to those who drilled exhibition with the heavy 1903
your rifle doesn't way more than 9.5 pounds.
An m60 weighs 15-16 lbs. rifles dont go over 10 lbs.
I know this guy in real life. he dates my cousin. HE'S REALLY GOOD
Really? Lol small world. This video is over 3 years old
GodWilling1993 Yeah, they broke up last year. He was cool.
daisy
k.
belive it or not he really was he wasnt that good at at all in the beggining
Great routine, outstanding, he deserved to win.
But holy crap work on your voice on report in, it's supposed to be at least comprehensible.
*4-5 years
im a navy cadet i was wondering if u can do tutorials
0:35
?
Okay, not only am I a third year cadet in AFJROTC. But I'm also a C/1LT + Honor Guardsman + Special Teams Commander + Bravo Flight Commander, etc.
A standard Daisy/ Drill America etc. weigh only 8.5 pounds. Unless your rifle was an actual weapon then it will not weigh 15 pounds unless they're real, just not firable.
Thanks, looking forward to your reply.
C/1LT Miller
Special Teams Commander
Unit CA- 863
Bravo Flight Commander
Ez
there's no saying that the difficulty in his routine is great. but he looked sloppy in a lot of his moves. and the whole ninja was hilarious to me lol it was good but i've seen better.
Uhhh whut..!
10lbs-12lbs
Trolls tisk tisk.
Oh cuadra how coky u are to bad u couldn't go in the arm and to bad u droped ur tilde at nationals and cried
