Super Readers Storytelling Session Video for International Day of Friendship

Celebrating the strength of inclusive friendships! On this #InternationalFriendshipDay, we honor friendships that defy stereotypes, embrace diversity, and uplift people of all abilities.
In an inspiring event, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez of Victorias City, Negros Occidental, encouraged Grade 2 learners from Salvacion Elementary School to understand the power of friendship that goes beyond physical differences. They had a special Super Readers Storytelling Session with USAID Deputy Mission Director Rebekah Eubanks and Cong. Kiko Benitez from the 3rd District of Negros Occidental, where Mayor Benitez shared a heartwarming story entitled "Emma," highlighting the beauty of true friendship based on empathy and understanding.
