Brilliance rules as does their crew. Their cruise to the Baltic is also fantastic.

I went on this ship 3 years in a row 2016 2017 and 2018 and we travelled in august for all of them
I fell in love with Jewel of the Seas back in 2018 & am excited to sail on her sister ship Brilliance in Feb '22 - thanks so much for this ship tour!

Thanks! We were on in Jan 2019 and almost booked the same cruise for 2022 but our group cruise (apexgroupcruise.com) overlaps with the date. We'd not mind finding another time to sail Brilliance again though.

In an odd way I actually really like sailing out of Tampa. Yeah it takes quite awhile to get out but there’s a lot to see

Room 8666 was the only room left on deck 8 tonight and we booked it. Later I came to watch a video on the boat and you had the same room! I should get a lottery ticket!

Hows the night life? & would you say the ship caters to an older crowd or young adult crowd?
Sorry, we somehow missed this comment. To be honest, demographics don't tend to correlate to ships as much as they do to cruise lines and itineraries. Generally the longer the sailing the older the crowd, so you'll find plenty of young couples as well as families with children on Brilliance of the Seas short Caribbean sailings.
Was there an outdoor movie screen?
Yep. A large LED screen is by the pool area (added during her 2013 refit).
We will be sailing in May out of Venice. Our balcony says obstructed view. I have looked at the outside of the ship but did not see any obstructions. Do you know what this might be?
Most commonly they're life boats, but there some rooms that may have cove balconies, or parts of the structure limiting the viewing angle. Our room on Brilliance had an extra large angled balcony, but with a limited perspective. Deck 5 just forward of the shops and photo gallery.
How was this ship I'm booked for feb 2021 Out of a10 what would you rate it
We enjoyed her quite a bit (and we're booked in Jan or Feb on her as well...I should know which). She doesn't have the bells and whistles of the larger RCI ships, but if you're looking for a more classic layout in a comfortable size, with some neat nautical themes, she is great. I would like to see some stateroom updates, but our room was perfectly serviceable and comfy.
I just booked the 8666 room on this ship. How obstructed is it really?
It has an overall similar field of view to other staterooms, the difference is because it curves out on the right side/toward the back, so there is some obstruction there. In other words, there is more space, there are more places to look, but some are obstructed. You can see one angle in the time-lapse at the link below. All in all, I'd say this is a better verandah option for most guests than a standard verandah - but of course, that's subjective.

Do they provide hair dryers?
Yes. Hair dryers are available on most cruise lines' ships, including Brilliance.
Look forward to royal treating smokers royally at my expense!
If you're looking for smoke free casinos there are options. Check out Oceania, Celebrity, and Virgin Voyaes, to name three.
How was this ship
We enjoyed her. We often cruise premium lines with fewer families and such, but when cruising with friends Brilliance worked nicely since there were more options for families, a variety of things for adults, and in a nice sized package - not too big, not too small. We booked the same cruise next year in fact.

Looks like an older ship. Not a fan to be honest
A lot of it comes down to what you're looking for in your cruise experiences. I find ships like Brilliance fill an interesting niche for those looking for something smaller, not needing quite all the bells and whistles, but also not looking for an up-market experience.
