Everything is so lovely about this video with Mother preparing a delicious traditional food. I am hearing so much caring and respect from the Son throughout. Thank you to both for your very detailed recipe demonstration in a pleasant and heartwarming video.
Wonderful 💕 what dose a mum of a chef & restaurant owner cook her son, some lovely comfort food, this looks awesome 🤩 thank you & Happy Mothering Sunday to you mum 💐 love the flowers 💖
I love this video, Ma sha Allah such a lovely relationship you have with your mother. Well done for saying Bismillah every 5 minutes 😂😂 that’s exactly how I was taught.
Her hands have made thousands of batches Latif bai!!! You can tell tell by her eye balling the measuring. Really lovely to see sassi doing her thing. You should get her to cook classic dishes so we can persevere the recipes.
You're so calm and thoughtful, it's really lovely to see, especially with your mum. The food looks amazing, as for "beautiful ", that should be you tag line!...
I was just watching your video. A great video. More than anything it was heartwarming to watch you doing the video with your mum, and your mannerisms with her. May Allah bless both of you. Ameen.
Same my mum passed away too, first eid with our her, mum used ti love make bora, your mum's hand looks like my mum's hand. Feels like it's her making bora
Literally my childhood, whenever I use to visit Sylhet, I use to wait eagerly for this. It a simple thing to make but the memories make it super special and one of my favorites. Not to mention, having this with beef curry is on a whole another level of satisfaction.
Asalamualikum Brother. A very big thank you to chachi and you. I followed her recipe for Eid fitar, and It tuned really nice and tasty. I am going to make it again for Eid ul azhar. My children love It. May Allah bless her many more years, ameen.
Mouth watering 😮takes me back to my days spent in Sylhet, how I miss my mum in laws treats, how I miss BD. I pray to take my kids to their paternal home In Sha Allah. Ameen
Wonderful food cooked by and for wonderful people. Thank you both for allowing us to share this special time with you. I must try these they look delicious!
Absolutely love this video!!! Your instructions are brilliant, been trying to make these for years. One year I tried to cheat, added baking soda, turned the dough pink....and a dulabhai happen to walk in 😂😂😂
Same my mum passed away too, first eid with our her, mum used ti love make bora, your mum's hand looks like my mum's hand. Feels like it's her making bora
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Definately going to try that. You should do sweet versions of those and serve them in your restaurant as a desert with ice cream/custard. I reckon off camera, you wanted your mum to use your old teletubby pastry cutters - lol.
We make a sweet version, with date molasses and coconut, rice four plain flour. Make into batter and deep fry. We call it handesh. You can look it up in youtube
I've just found your channel, wow amazing food, you explain it all very well, I feel a cooking day coming on..love spices have at least 40 different ones, hubby's favourites are butter chicken, and beef madras...🙂
I like all your videos but especially the ones with your mum's recipes because they taste like home. The last year my mum made these for us, we used the dough hook on a stand mixer for the kneading part and it came out well. Disclaimer: your hook may get stained yellow, just putting it out there.
Always saw my mum & mil making these but was too worried they would go wrong to try it ourselves. We followed your recipe and they came out great, thank you Latif, keep up the great content. Ramadan Mubarak 😊
Ah re baba ke shundur nun masala banison affa ( thumar amma) amra ola bani. Kobi shundur hoise mashuallah. Thumar blog shob shomoi deki. Amar selera dekoin. Thumar blog kobi balu lage. Affar gese Salam roilo. Dua frm auntie frm Birmingham 💕Ramzan Mubarak
The look beautiful, I’m thinking a big plate of these, dips, a bottle of chilled coke & slobbing in front on the telly for the evening. I love mumsy getting a video. #FamousHands
Assalaamalikum Latin bhai, can please thank Khala (mum) for me as I’m actually making this now for Eid tomorrow and they have turned out amazing.😊 Eid Mubarak to you all😊🎉
A great video of Mother and Son cooking together, bringing back memories of what I used to do with my Mum years ago. Respect to you both. Tell me, could this be done in an air fryer Latif?
AlHamdulillah these came out perfect. Please tell your Mum, a big thank you. Would your mum be kind enough, if she is able to do a handesh one, that is my nemesis as mum taught us with "antaaz". Once again thank you Khala for this very helpful video.
We call them shondesh. I haven't eaten them in many years. My mum used to make a massive handi of them. I was never interested in learning how to make them when I was young. Might give it a try now Insha Allah
@@LatifsInspired Oh, good. I can't beat to waste even the tiniest bit of ginger or garlic or onion for that matter. You don't really measure water, oil, and other items either I bet!
If children thanks his/her mother every single day throughout their life, it won't be the repayment whatever she has done for him/her. Therefore singling out a day to thank her is pointless. Praying for her wellbeing and taking care of her every needs every single day is much better to show your love to her rather than celebrating this so called Mother's Day which literally makes her feel valueless. Same goes for the Father's Day. May Allah bless your mom with good health and grant your dad Jannat al-Firdaus, Ameen.

Our mothers never weigh anything they just chuck everything in and it turns out so nice and tasty😊😋

Assalaamalikum Latin bhai, can please thank Khala (mum) for me as I’m actually making this now for Eid tomorrow and they have turned out amazing.😊 Eid Mubarak to you all😊🎉
This is more yummy the day after it’s fried. U just grill on a pan and eat it toasted with tea
best thing about it is that it tastes better in the following days wen u reheat it on a thava and get the charring on it
I love eating nunor bora with leftover meat or chicken bhuna! You can also add in some Nigella seeds in the dough
A great video of Mother and Son cooking together, bringing back memories of what I used to do with my Mum years ago. Respect to you both. Tell me, could this be done in an air fryer Latif?
To be honest it’s best done fried in oil
Thank you bro
❤❤❤❤❤

Can you show how to make Bangladeshi samosas
Do you have it plain? Or with something? Chutneys or curry? Are there any other variations to the recipe?
Rabbir hamhuma kama Rabbayani Sagheera
Salams. Can you do a video on how to make handesh please. Jazakallah
Wa Alaikum Assalam Wa Rahmatullah Inshaa Allah
❤
Can you freeze the dough.
Yes
My bangla mum normally puts kalonji (onion seeds) as well..
Salaam, did your mum use rice flour or ground rice flour?
Wa Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
Rice flour
Your recipe in the description box does not include the flour
We call them shondesh. I haven't eaten them in many years. My mum used to make a massive handi of them. I was never interested in learning how to make them when I was young. Might give it a try now Insha Allah
I saw another vid, that put 2 eggs in the mix, u think it adds anything to the flavour. Cheers
No please do not add eggs to this pastry
@@LatifsInspired k.Thanks
Should have saved a cup of the water to swish it around the blender to get all the ginger and onion paste.
Behind the scenes! Lol

Is this a bengoli dish.?
Yes
Getting the consistency for this and the sweet gurer handesh is sometimes really hard.
