im sure you realize that there are plenty of karaoke places in japan with private rooms for groups (this is actually the main type in japan)

+spooky pup Hahahaha Panic at the disco are coming to tokyo soon for a festival so i gotta prep ;) Legit me in 2007/2008 too... After that I was like ugh I'm so over these bands I'm cool now. But what the hell they're awesome, but the next step is my chemical romance :') I haven't listened to them for years... hahaha and at solo karaoke, you don't need to be worried about your song choice ;)

It's easy to do this at home, I use the Samson Meteor usb Mcrophone which is like 100 bucks, it has a 3.5 for headphones, just look for karaokes on youtube and you're ready to go :)

Last October, I went to Karaoke shop alone in Umeda,Osaka city before seeing Roll sushi parade in Dotonbori,Osaka but the karaoke shop is just general one not One kara so my Karaoke room was a small but big enough for myself. I love singing but I normally sing heavy metal songs including melodic death metal lol so I have to go to Karaoke with metal head mates lol
I sang for 3 hours which was fun!!! cheers
+wildfire777 hahaha awesome! Its good to have the freedom to sing whatever you want in solo karaoke. I noticed so many metal songs on the karaoke lists at so many places, so I'm glad you have mates that are into the same kind of stuff :) I wanted to sing for so much longer, but wanted to be careful with money too haha, hopefully i can find somewhere that does members deals or something!

I wanna go there, but wow 2000yen for just two hours for one person is really expensive.... I know things in Japan are generally more expensive anyway but karaoke in Hong Kong is around 1500yen (depending on what time it is.) for 2 or 3 hours, and it comes with food or drinks.
It's actually not that expensive but this is not just a regular karaoke room.
Regular ones are probably less than 1500yen for all you can sing and free drinks too.
Christine Lee oh, ok that's not bad, that's per person I'm assuming? Is there like a franchise that do karaoke? Any recommendations? :)
Jasmine Yes! That's per person. If you go during the day time, it's even less than 1000 yen in some places. I only go to franchises so the popular ones are Joysound, Big Echo, or Karaoke Banban, or Jankara. I'm not sure if those are the popular ones in Tokyo though since I live in Osaka but I definitely see those franchises everywhere here.
