It’s quite different to modern day machines. The fence adjustability is great and for a small machine, it has a tilting spindle. Clever design. The safety guard is a one part design. A two piece design that also pushes (featherboards) the piece to the fence is better, in my opinion, as it allows to safely work with narrow pieces. Theres no sliding table with a perpendicular fence either. And the rotation is not reversible. But that one knob on the top that allows the whole fence to be precisely adjusted is worth it alone.
One of the best machines in the woodworking would, I’ve spent thirty odd years using and making items on a spindle moulder the tasks are endless, very well explained Mr Bauer.
I had nearly 15 years in the woodworking game and used a vast array of machinery - everything from table saws and drills to CNC Routers and multi function machines that would fill a supermarket and I can say without doubt the one machine I hated working on was the spindle moulder.
That is a very nice machine!! For many reasons i like this kind of old machines, if they are well maintained they last forever!!! I wish i cand find one in the next village too!!!
Too bad You never made Part 2 about this shaper. I would have bet You added a sliding table and wired it to have a reversible spindle rotation. Also, as it does not have a parallel T-slot in the table, it would benefit from a couple threaded holes in the tisch that would allow to use featherboards that push narrow pieces to the fence.
I too have been looking out for a spindle moulder but without any success. I am envious of you right now. I am sure you will get a lot of use out of this machine.
That's a nice machine. In Denmark, we see them for sale in the range of 400-1000 EUR, often with a powerfeed included in the high end of that price range.
I might have never purchased my Felder if this machine had been in the Chicago area. Like your speech and nature really sell the presentation. What were the words you were saying when the machine would not adjust like wanted??
I have a jointer/planer combo machine of this make way over in New Zealand. 240v single phase machine. It's the same colour and I can see similar construction of various parts such as the fences and the motor.
I'm wondering if the start-stop button was added after, the old shop i got my doors from had this machine, identical in every aspect short of the start-stop button which in its case, was a pedal with a dead-man's switch.
Driving through the woods.. is that where your shop is hiding? Ha. I enjoyed where you defined industrial machines and explained weight being part of it. It made me think of what assholes Bridgeport mills are to move. Not the most fun I’ve ever had. Even small mills are jerks.
What kind of building is your shop in? Is it a space you rent out of a larger commercial building? I'm trying to do something like this in the US, around Washington, DC.
My GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) from guitarplaying is slowly moving over to the woodworking world.. It wasnt the most financially sound decision, to start a career in this field 😂
We had a power outage at work once. When it came back on I couldn't figure out why the bandsaw was burning and not cutting, then when I used the panelsaw I realise it was all backwards. The power company had made a mistake somewhere.
@@CoselB Almost no one outside Germany knows about this manufacturer, but everyone knows about Metabo. Intriguing... I would call this machine professional as opposed to industrial; It's way too accurate and robust for hobby. I definitely could never afford such a lovely thing.
@@mastex5575 That's not the point. Kinda childish to use an adblocker to 'think' you got rid of advertising. German engineering at its finest. Great piece of equipment for most woodworkers shops.
I enjoy your presentation style. No waffle and very clear. I will now, more than likely, buy one of these machines. Thank you.

Whoever the previous owner was, he sure took good care of it.

Lovely, looking forward to the inside information of the "workings".

That's a good deal.. In the US, something like this would probably be at least $1500 USD/1300 EUR without the powerfeed
Looking forward for its homemade sliding table I guess!
I like your videos, thanks 🙏
Great unit, hope you find some cool projects to do with it.
Great find. Looking forward to the next video.
Two table saws ? Do a video on those please. Nice video on the shaper.
Keen to see you make a power feeder.
Haven't even finished the video yet but the two piece nut for the spindle is *super* cool.
Great video. I love videos like this from other countries. You should make my shaper fence for it. I love my shaper fences.
looking forward to part two Cosmas don't be long buddy
I think it's going to take me a couple of months still.
i love that dry german humor :D
Great video! I am looking for a spindle molder, and the EB TF 900 looks like a winner.
Nice purchase!

very precise, down to 0.1 mm

Do you use it or is it likely for sale?
Over in Australia.

Very interesting. Thank you.
Nice one! We have the smaller brother. Didn’t test it yet but we also got it from eBay Kleinanzeigen because it was to cheap to not buy.
great video

Cool little machine, not common to see tilting spindles on that size moulder.
I’m guessing the top is cast aluminium?
SUPER ! 👍👍👍

Can you do a workshop tour please?

6:42 50m/s. I dont metric but that feels like a fast board feed rate...
Its the cutting speed not the feed rate.

It's been a while you haven't posted a video. Is everything alright?
Yes i made it to the end...but i must conference i watch most videos on YT in high speed.
Aw man, I thought you were going to send me a free one for making it to the end of the video
Nice machine but it doesn't have a T slot to run a coping sled.
That 's Awesome, is there a link that it could be ordered online? how can i get it?
Hi, I think these have been discontinued a long time ago. You'll have to look for a used one like I did.
Great video, how much did you pay?
So super hit
A shaper is ssoooo much more than a router, at least for larger or higher quantity work.
