Damn, I need to start checking into the newer music scene more often. I haven’t given newer sh!t a fair shake too often because I tend to only be disappointed lol and always end up going back to the classics. I’m definitely stuck in my ways when it comes to music, keeping the 90s to early 2000s stuff in rotation. However, I do occasionally come across new modern bands that are absolutely amazing and end up earning a permanent place in the ole’ Rolodex.. and THIS, my friends, is one of those rare bands. It’s such a great feeling when you come across a new band that checks off all of the sounds that appeal to you. This song embodies everything I love about music. I mean, just look at my user name, “Deftones” .. so yeah.. actually, funnily enough, I found this band through an article headlined, “bands that sound similar to deftones” haha that article did not mislead or disappoint at all. By the way, i hope Moodring takes that as a compliment, and not a dig. They don’t sound like a carbon copy AT ALL! They just have a similar vibe, which is a GREAT thing. They have their own uniqueness though, without a doubt, so I hope they don’t get tired of the Deftones comments. Anyway, I am going to look into more of their music now. I really hope it stays somewhat within this realm and sound. If so, they will immediately become one of my favorite new groups. But yeah, I’m happy to see that there are still great musicians doing their thing today.. sometimes you just gotta dig. I’ve found several newer bands lately. I wish they’d get the recognition they deserve, but we all know that 99% of the population has horrible taste 😆 such a shame. But yeah, AWESOME SONG Moodring! Happy to have found your music, and I will spread the word to likeminded people. I predict many of them will be thanking me haha 🤟🏻
I agree, I had taken a break from the metal scene and I came back to a shit ton of great music lol Vexes, Rolo Tomassi, Deafcult, Vein, Hundred Suns, Wayside, Loser, Modern Color etc all in my constant rotation now
@@S1L3NTD34TH Chino may not be a technically good singer, but the natural tone of his voice is one of the most smooth, unique and soothing in music, and he is one of the best screamers of all time. Without chino there wouldn't be bands like this.

It would never happen. Deftones like to take out artists that bring in a new audience to them. Most Loathe and Moodring fans are already Deftones fans. A tour with Spiritbox or Sleep Token would be great though
