- Penn Jillette joined Julia Sweeney on the stage at CSICon to discuss his career in magic, his longtime partnership with Teller, and their efforts to combat pseudoscience and misinformation.
Penn & Teller are perhaps magic’s most legendary duo. They have hosted acclaimed sold-out runs on Broadway and are the longest running-and one of the most-beloved-resident headline acts in Las Vegas history. Penn & Teller continue to defy labels-and at times physics and good taste-by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their distinct niche in comedy. The duo has its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The controversial Showtime series Penn & Teller: BS! was nominated for thirteen Emmys and was the longest-running series in the network's history. The show highlighted the pair’s ardent skepticism by tackling the fakes and frauds behind such topics as alien abduction, psychics, and bottled water.

Wonderful conversation! Penn has the most funny and insightful commentary and stories, and Julia is great, as always. He talks about current libertarianism (explains why he's not a libertarian anymore, which is beautifully told), about Donald Trump, about his family's history with religion, and his latest creative project. I love hearing from these fantastic people! ❤️

I tried listening to this, but Julia's mic is just too loud. I'm listening to Penn's voice, more mellow and subdued, then Julia's very sharp laugh comes screaming over the audio. Too much.

@@dannytangeloribaldreviews6310 Did you not see me describe Penn's voice? I turn the speaker down, I can no longer hear him! This is a simple audio mixing fix, which should have been perfected BEFORE the interview. Any amateur knows that.

Teller recover soon. Penn I used to love stage magic then lost interest. With one notable exception I love card magic 🎩! Love sleight of hand with a deck of cards. I double cheat and use a stripper deck as I'm lazy. Audience don't know. Best guys are mechanics not magicians those guys can manipulate a deck of cards. Its not relevant to this discussion. Niche subject.
