Can't blame you for being disgusted by Low Bar Bill. I find this man so disgusting that I can't abide looking at him for too long, he makes me sick. I am SOOOO glad I abandoned the Christian faith some 26 years ago.
Someone tell me, how does WLC know that the killed children go directly to heaven? Is that him just making up a feel good pill to help justify the terrible shit he is talking about?
If god sent those babies to hell for eternity, that's still gods prerogative. You can't make up the stuff a professional philosopher makes up to defend a theory he holds on to. In his theory, it would be perfectly in line with god's perfectly loving nature.🤢
2:34 was where I almost literally vomited my dinner. William Lane Craig is doing a great job of presenting Christianity in the worst possible light. As do most fundies.
Regardless of if god commands it of you or not if you truly believe that by murdering babies they all go to heaven then would you not have some moral obligation to (even if it sacrifices your own eternity) murder as many as you possibly can? It's like the trolley problem where I'd be a monster if I stood by and let a hundred people die because I wouldn't sacrifice myself. Only literally infinitely worse.
_"if you truly believe that by murdering babies they all go to heaven"_ he did not say that, he implied they go to heaven if God commanded their killings, it is not the same, therefore what you wrote does not follow, there is no universal teaching in christianty that all children go to heaven automatically and there is a direct commandment not to kill by your own, so what WLC said is perfectly logical and the conclusion follows if you accept the premises, if you dont accept the premises (god does not exist, the bible is literature, the massacre did not happen, etc.) there is no case at all
@@fixpontt He doesn't imply it he says it directly. "on my theology these children go immediately to to Heaven they go to be with God". While he doesn't say all children go to heaven here it's easily found elsewhere. He says "I agree with your answer concerning the salvation of those who die in infancy" when asked on his website reasonable (HA!) faith. Take it up with LBB.
@@fixpontt If there is a God and murdered babies (whose murder is not commanded by God) go to Hell, then God is even more of a monster than the Bible makes Him out to be. So, I suspect you're correct is suggesting that murdered babies don't necessarily go to heaven. But then, what kind of loving God doesn't command the murder of all babies, if that's what will send them immediately to Heaven? Any way you cut this, your God is an absolute monster. Well done!
Thanks BriBri, this was an important series. I almost wish YHWH was real so that LBB would have to stand in front of it and hear "WTF Bill? Seriously??"
What I've just heard is not refuting the thesis that he defends genocide. The guy was given a proposition several times and conclusively responded: genocide is good, if it is done on God's command. I strongly suspect that it can even extend to "it is bad and immoral not to do genocide if genocide was ordered by God".
I really couldn't imagine how Alex could mask his disgust throughout this interview. His ability to just keep feeding rope to LBB so he could keep tangling himself up was impressive. He didn't get to take breaks to vomit at the ideas being presented.
According to WLC, God does not wrong anyone when he orders the deaths of Canaanites. This shows just how disgusting his morality is in all circumstances, as according to him there is never an ethical obligation to another person, only to a "moral authority." So if I go steal from someone, I haven't wronged that person, I've only wronged God. That's seriously obscene.
Its literal Jihad logic. If God permits you to kill it must be moral. Its not in God nature to do anything immoral, no matter what logic, reality, law or intuition says about the morality of an action, it must be moral if God sanctions it. Bill is literally using the exact same moral framework as every suicide bomber. The only difference is that they have different ideas of what atrocities God wants. Its the exact same moral framework and justification. Every time Bill says God must have some justification for slaughtering the canaanites and we should ignore all moral intuitions and reasoning... just substitute that for "blowing up childrens school" and ule see there is no difference between Bill's logic and that of Boko Haram. Its a perfect example of the moral and societal dangers of throwing away ur brain im favour of religious dogma. How historically and currently there is no more dangerous moral framework than thinking your are doing Gods commanded objective morality. Where anything can be justified because God is on your side.
Remember kids. Low bar Billy is propped up as being one of the best apologists out there. If that doesn't tell you something about the whole enterprise then I don't know what will.
“God wrongs no one”?! Man this guy is a bullshit goldmine. 2:30 in and I’m already pausing to write a second comment. He’s saying god *definitionally* wrongs no one because he’s perfectly moral, just and loving. But when confronted with clearly immoral, unjust and unloving acts and commands of god, he reasons that this can’t be what it seems because god is definitionally moral. Talk about circular fucking reasoning. If you start with the presupposition that god is a priori perfectly moral, then anything he does is consistent with that definition even if it contradicts the definition of the fucking words.
Like to an extent, Craig is certainly consistent in his commitment to the notion that god is “outside of” everything we see, experience, and know as humans - time, space, knowledge, truth, morality, justice, love. But how can anyone say god is the perfect *embodiment* of any of those things if our understanding of them can be directly contradicted by a god’s “perfect” actions and commands? If god is SO unintelligible to us, then how do we know anything about him, and what can anyone confidently point to as an assertion of his nature? All that we would point to could just as easily contradict god’s nature. It’s like Platonic Forms if Plato was like “My knowledge of and experience with spheres tells me there’s a divine world where there’s a perfect version of this sphere. And in that world, that perfect sphere has 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns...”
@@jakerz0and you or anyone can never see that platonic shere ever. Well do you know it exists platonic sphere believer ? I had a feeling once. But not about the sphere about being love. OK you need therapy.
EFFIN BRUTAL FACTS! thank you brother for speaking for all of those who have been hurt, are being hurt now & will be hurt in the future by ghouls like this who think his sky daddy can do no wrong
WlC is of the opinion that children go to heaven by default if they are murdered presumably on the basis of them being children. This doesn't track with original sin and conflicts with the theodicy of soul or saint building. However WLC also says that these murdered children go to a far better life than they otherwise would have had had they remained on this "corrupt and filthy world". Which prompts me to ask if WLC would be willing to personally send as many children as he possibly can to this far better life in paradise rather than remain here in this current filthy world even if the act would cost him his own place in that "better life". Of course why it would cost him his place when he's actually doing these children the greatest of favors according to him is not clear. If anything he should be even more garunteed of it for doing so. But his god does work in very mysterious ways so I hear.
Note that in the Deuteronomy passage about taking female captive as a war bride after a month (that Dennis Praeger finds such a beautiful passage (Go Devils!)) only applies if the captor finds the woman beautiful. Based on how someone like Low Bar Bill will state that only mentioning one angel at Jesus' tomb in a given Gospel doesn't mean there wasn't another angel means that if the captor views a woman as ugly and he's just horny, then this restriction does not apply and he can go ahead and take her on the spot. Such a wonderful religion.....
2:57 How does this not violate the free-will defense for the Problem of Evil? If these kids are automatically forced to go to heaven, they are not given the choice to "freely love" God. They are forced into his presence without choosing God freely, and not given the "great opportunity" to choose "absence" from God's "goodness" in hell.
Bill also contradicts himself in the same interview when he says something to the effect of this wouldn't be abhorrent if god knew these people would all turn out to be evil. So did he know they would be evil and still take them to heaven? Like all apologists he says what he needs to say to answer the question of the moment in a way that the faithful will accept.
I've never understood this idea that children who go to heaven are in a wonderful place. What happens to 1 month old in heaven? Do they grow up? They're non-verbal, have no concepts other than I'm unhappy (I need food, or my diaper changed, or I hurt, or ...). Or I'm happy (I'm full, comfortable, and can see my mother). Ok, so they're presumably happy in heaven (always comfortable, fed, no diapers, etc) but possibly no mother. So do they become more fully human? Do they learn stuff? What about all the experiences they've missed, love, sex, becoming a parent, etc. Heaven just seems to be an eternity of a god induced zombie state, where, as a baby, they don't even have a lifetime of memories to look back on.
So the Oklahoma City bombing included victims who were children and women who were pregnant. Is WLC saying that he would have been completely at ease with Timothy mcveigh if he had said that god had told him to do it?
All merciful and all just? Wouldn't that be a contradiction? So many problems with the proposition of an all powerful being. So glad Bill is around to explain things to us. His rationalizations and justifications for god's killing smack of the explanations given by angel-of-mercy nurses when found to be expediting the expiration of their patients. "I was just sending them to be with god." 🙄
So here we go: 1. Bill makes a living arguing apologetics, but is personally convinced by "witness of the holy spirit", so he's never going to be swayed by any argument while he makes money arguing. 2. He thinks killing children is abhorrent, but supports "Divine Command Theory" so that god can decide what is moral and what is not, regardless of what he (and certainly we) think. 3. It's his belief that if god created all life, god has the right to take that life whenever he wants. Whereas the obvious fact that we can and do create life does not allow us to also take that life when we choose. 4. At no point does Bill articulate how anyone can know what god wants. So when one tribe wipes out another tribe, it's only their say-so that means god told them. They get a pass, but a serial killer in the modern world who claims god told him to shoot up a school gets iced by the police or can be executed by the state. Conclusion: This man is deluded to the point of mental derangement, and should be considered a serious threat to anyone. His religious beliefs mean that at any time, he and he alone can commit any crime if he thinks his deity orders it. He will not change his mind regardless of any and all evidence to the contrary. I always felt him to be a bit of a harmless loony, but now I feel he is just a few neurons away from happily slaughtering babies in the belief they will be in heaven. This is what religion does. When people say, "What's the harm in believing?", besides the fact that people like this also vote, Low Bar Bill is showing how belief can lead to horrible acts against humanity. We all need to speak up, loudly and not let "What's the harm" pass without comment. There is clearly plenty of harm to be had if we say and do nothing.
@@misterdeity I don't know if it _makes_ them those things, or _enables_ them to express what's already inside of themselves.
But if they haven't accepted Jesus and been baptized. They are going to hell. And that would be gods purpose and will for them
Low bar Bill keeps digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole the more he talks!
This is indeed some sick fucking shit, to the nth degree.
Under divine command God wrongs nobody.
At one time Alex asked: how do you know ?
Low bar: That question is not interesting to me.
10:00 . I think I'm going to be sick.
_"if you truly believe that by murdering babies they all go to heaven"_
he did not say that, he implied they go to heaven if God commanded their killings, it is not the same, therefore what you wrote does not follow, there is no universal teaching in christianty that all children go to heaven automatically and there is a direct commandment not to kill by your own, so what WLC said is perfectly logical and the conclusion follows if you accept the premises, if you dont accept the premises (god does not exist, the bible is literature, the massacre did not happen, etc.) there is no case at all
@@fixpontt He doesn't imply it he says it directly. "on my
theology these children go immediately
to to Heaven they go to be with God".
Thanks so much!!! I love those British pounds! 😉
"it slaughters the babies, or else it gets the hose again" -- Bluffalot Bill Craig's god.
So why does'nt bill go to be with god...right now!
What Bill is saying leaves him morally blind , he can’t say anything is right or wrong
How anyone can hear Craig run his mouth and not immediately say, "that's such sewage," is beyond me.
WHAT?! Are you telling me that it isn't moral to slaughter native peoples and take their gold and land? But God is love.
Remember kids. Low bar Billy is propped up as being one of the best apologists out there. If that doesn't tell you something about the whole enterprise then I don't know what will.
Can I upvote this about a million times?
The bar isnt low, it just about fits the Bill. :) If you were doing the limbo your buttcheeks would be scraping the 7th layer of hell.
Let’s try and remember that these lunatics also think the rape victim should raise the rapists child…the moral goodness just oozes from these people…
William Lane Craig is simply a horrible person doing his best to look good.
This is almost unbelievable.
EFFIN BRUTAL FACTS! thank you brother for speaking for all of those who have been hurt, are being hurt now & will be hurt in the future by ghouls like this who think his sky daddy can do no wrong
The sickest shit Craig has ever said in his entire life starts at 2:28 and ends at 3:33
The bar goes so low that that the only way to go now is up yet amazingly just when it couldn't get any lower he some how breaks new levels. Wow.
This entire series has been timely and on point. Keep it up
Thanks! I hope you keep this channel afloat for many years to come
Bless you!!!
what a disgusting “thought process”
This channel deserves way more views than it currently gets.
I don't think he cares, and is only saying that to sound a bit more palatable. In other company he probably says things completely opposite.
Thank you, W. L. Craig, for your excellent work defaming Christianity.
So God sends a baby to be born only to have it killed and then returned to heaven. What a hipocrit.

Woohoo!!! Thanks so much!
Such a great point!!!
Couldn’t an all-mighty god have just beamed the children up to heaven? Why was having his followers butcher them the best idea he could come up with?
I've never understood this idea that children who go to heaven are in a wonderful place. What happens to 1 month old in heaven? Do they grow up? They're non-verbal, have no concepts other than
I'm unhappy (I need food, or my diaper changed, or I hurt, or ...).
Great video thanks. Sorry about the health problems...
So the Oklahoma City bombing included victims who were children and women who were pregnant. Is WLC saying that he would have been completely at ease with Timothy mcveigh if he had said that god had told him to do it?
Well, if there was just one chance in a million … .😊
Powerful stuff and I agree 100%. How sick do you hav to be to excuse the murder of babies, with a smile, and even say it was a good thing?
Thanks
dammit, normally my payments don't go through. oh well.
SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS BILL GUY. Imagine him as a world leader.
Let's not, thanks. (shudder)
Love hurts, love scars
Love wounds and mars
Some fools fool themselves I guess.
This will probably be the first patreon I decide to set up and join
Woohoo!!!
Does Mr. Bill mix his own Kool-Aid? He's really not well.
I don't know, I thought William did a great job... arguing for atheism.
😂
Unbelievable. In every sense of the word.
Listening to LBB, I keep thinking of one of my favourite lines from Die Hard: Man, why don't you try smelling what you're shoveling?
All merciful and all just? Wouldn't that be a contradiction? So many problems with the proposition of an all powerful being. So glad Bill is around to explain things to us. His rationalizations and justifications for god's killing smack of the explanations given by angel-of-mercy nurses when found to be expediting the expiration of their patients. "I was just sending them to be with god."
🙄
it is a tremendous blessing to go to heaven and be with God*
*Disclaimer, this same argument does not apply to abortion
1000 times Yes!
Excellent point!
Thank you 🤩
Joined your patreon, been meaning to for a little while, finally did it. Keep up the good work!
Yay!!! Now the blessings will REALLY flow. Thanks!!!
Bill continues to spill out such horse shit!
Horse shit is useful as fertiliser. That is an unfair comparison. Horse shit doesn’t deserve that offence.
So here we go:
Great analysis!
@@misterdeity Thanks Bri. He's a sociopath in slow motion, in my opinion.
@@mcarp555 It’s just Christianity. It makes people stupid, heartless, and mentally ill!
@@misterdeity I don't know if it _makes_ them those things, or _enables_ them to express what's already inside of themselves. You'd have to look long and hard for an excuseigist who would be willing to admit they disagree with their god. it's either "I agree with my god completely" or "I must obey my god regardless". If your god hates women or minorities or LGBQT+ people, well... Isn't
that an amazing coincidence? Which is why Bill should be considered a menace to society.
@@mcarp555 Mostly agreed. But given that most Christians have been brainwashed from birth…
