YES! Very informative! We need to do more on this subject. It’s in register ink, tattoo ink, clothing dyes… so many things! I personally have lost faith in the medical community even though I refer them all the time. As a Cosmetologist we are supposed to be trained to perform patch tests on our clients. Most cosmetologist don’t even have a conversation with our clients about any of it. The progression has lost its professionalism! And Doctors are losing it too. Slowly but surely…..unfortunately. Any doctor I have talked to knows nothing about PPD. Pharmacists ( Ones I’ve talked to) know nothing about PPD. The ones that do know about it, do not follow through to educate their patients! I’ve been dealing with this chemical for 26 years and have developed a severe allergy to it. So, thank you for saying something about it.
Best video on this topic! I have been watching a bunch because I’m in the middle of a PPD reaction 😩 I really wanted to know exactly what ppd is and you explained it so well!
We should be concerned about clients, but what about us as hairstylists? Why is there no testing done to see the long term effects these allergens have on the professionals who work with them everyday? Why does no one talk about the damage we are exposing our bodies to?
I really love this and so thankful you posted it!! I'm wondering though is there a hair color without these chemicals out there even if temporary? I'm not ready to stop doing my hair 😭😭 any help is appreciative
I am allergic to ppd and ptd I have no tattoos and have never had a henna tattoo ot any thing of that nature and I have had to epie shots from a single use of a demi permit ant hair die
