I remember well this countdown, this is when I discovered BBC World. If I'm right it was on Thor satellite when I later could watch "24" series on the Swedish channel TV4. Thor was hard to receive in France and the red colour of the BBC countdown always made it nearly impossible for my motorized satellite dish to adjust precisely on the right azimuth, and for my receiver to stabilise the PAL signal...

Could you please upload this BBC World News promo from KDTN 2 when it was North Texas’ secondary PBS station? It’s from 2001 and it started off with a girl looking through a chain linked fence watching foot soldiers come in. It frequently appeared before and after The Lawrence Welk Show, Guy Lombardo and Tennessee Ernie Ford. Zachary White is looking for it and so am I. If you have it, can you please upload it?

Miss this version of BBC World News - and the one that came before, it’s incredibly tabloid and non factual now … salacious almost. The bed transition from the countdown into the headline sequence @ 2:15 was never bettered.
