      this is a fledgling chick, the flight feathers are still growing, it can be seen, the leopard just took it out of the nest, an adult bird would have rebuffed the leopard from a height and protected the chick, they are in the nests because of the chicks, we do not see the second bird, this confirms my guesses that this is a chick

    Leopards are such incredible hunters! Big cats, in general, have excellent hunting techniques. Our crew got on camera two lionesses challenging themselves and hunting a giraffe. Seeing how much strategy and power these amazing animals have is impressive.

    What I find fascinating about leopards is how lightweight they are but also a very strong cat. I can imagine how the weight of a lion would have broken those tree branches.

    What unbelievable footage!!! When the zoom on the camera backed up and I could actually see the entire tree my mouth dropped at how high the leopard was. I love ALL of God's felines and a big TY to Ally and hubby for sharing some amazing footage! 💜👍💜 TYVM!

    Great video the lady hushed down the person behind said "I'm 📹 they kept quiet then she zoomed out and gave us a shot of how high the leopard went for it's food then zoomed back in. Camera work all good for an amateur. Thumbs up from me 👍🏼

      Yeah, that WAS the "money shot" showing how high it was.
      That was the very highest point of a very large tree.
      Doesn't bode well for eagles in this leapords territory.

    Amazing footage! If the big cats had Olympics, that leopard would be a legendary champion.
    Also Eagles after seeing this: we may have to consider making nests in thin air if we are not safe even at those heights

      @@MelanieFMPack it's a chick. they get quite huge before they fly. They nest for about 2.5 - 3 months before gaining enough strength to fly.

    I don't understand how the bird didn't feel or hear an actual animal in the upper branches? Also that must have been terrifying for the bird to see a leopard that high up. Imagine lying on a beach a safe distance from the water and a shark turns up right next to you.

    If there were no eggs or eaglets in that nest to protect, there is no way that leopard would ever be able to get that eagle. And if that is the case, mother's love is tough among some animals.

    The leopard didn’t risk anything. Leopards climb trees. They’ll even drag antelopes into the trees to keep the carcass away from hyenas.

    I think the leopard had to be quite fast to descend from the tree with its prey because if Mother Eagle returns while the leopard is still vulnerable in the tree it would not be fun for the cat.

    I understand the cycle of life and I understand eagles aren't innocent either because I'm always having to make sure my small dog is not outside without me having him on his leash because there's a hawk's nest in my backyard but I still feel bad for the eagle. Waking up by getting mauled by a big ass cat is the worst wake up call of all time

    It's a switch to see a leopard take a kill to the ground, as usually they drag a kill up into a tree to feed. They keep large kills up in trees to feed on for days, so that hyenas can't steal their meal. I wonder if this was a mom taking prey home to cubs for practice?

    They are one of the most amazing climbers of trees of all time. Other than the Squirrel, nothing gets away from a Leopard in the trees. Even monkeys fall victim going from tree to tree.

    Wow the height of that tree with only wee branches. Leopards are 90-110lbs. Well done to get a eagle sandwich.
