this is a fledgling chick, the flight feathers are still growing, it can be seen, the leopard just took it out of the nest, an adult bird would have rebuffed the leopard from a height and protected the chick, they are in the nests because of the chicks, we do not see the second bird, this confirms my guesses that this is a chick
Leopards are such incredible hunters! Big cats, in general, have excellent hunting techniques. Our crew got on camera two lionesses challenging themselves and hunting a giraffe. Seeing how much strategy and power these amazing animals have is impressive.
They have the best success rate of all big cats and will do anything for a phat bird dinner I've seen on tv a leopard dive bomb on a deer an kill it like that!

I think the leopard had to be quite fast to descend from the tree with its prey because if Mother Eagle returns while the leopard is still vulnerable in the tree it would not be fun for the cat.

I understand the cycle of life and I understand eagles aren't innocent either because I'm always having to make sure my small dog is not outside without me having him on his leash because there's a hawk's nest in my backyard but I still feel bad for the eagle. Waking up by getting mauled by a big ass cat is the worst wake up call of all time
It's a switch to see a leopard take a kill to the ground, as usually they drag a kill up into a tree to feed. They keep large kills up in trees to feed on for days, so that hyenas can't steal their meal. I wonder if this was a mom taking prey home to cubs for practice?
