hi my brother and mates used to buy them in packs of 5 10 at a rime tandy used to sell them alot with there makrd as well i never boy any at the time as i had a REEL TO REEL deck low end was better than cassette in the day 8 track cassettes you could buy in tandy as well
I have a couple cases of brand new sealed Maxell UR120 blanks. They’ve been selling slowly but steadily on eBay. I’ve also used some to record tapes for my girlfriend’s father.
They'll never bring back the cassettes here in Australia despite rumours we've had recently. In '91' & '92' the vinyl LP & singles vanished nationwide due 2 poor sales cause of the cassettes & CDs said they would never bring back vinyl again fast-forward to 2008 & they did the sales now are huge but expensive they cost $30.00 - $68.00 (AUD) per LP the prices are shocking but u can only buy vinyl records at certain music stores
The vinyl resurgence gave shops the licence to rip people off. I saw 'Pop' by U2 recent reissue and it was €40. That's a lot of cabbage for an LP. I have an original I bought in 2003 for €10 mint! I think €20 for a single LP and €25 for a double is all it's worth. I used to buy everything I could on Vinyl from 2000 to 2010 and now I can sell the ones I don't want for a handy profit as they are rare. I no longer buy music in stores as it's too expensive. The latest Miles Davis 4CD Bootleg Vol.6 was €28 in a local store and I bought it on eBay from Germany for €18 with free shipping! I don't download as I like the LP or CD and the mp3 quality is poor too. Thanks for watching! Regards, K
KRAZEEIZATION 40 euros for a re-issue that is a rip-off & it's not the same as its original 1997 press CDs are easier 2 store than vinyl which takes up too much room
Hi nice haul...I just had an amazing(to me)haul ...60 type one ..25 type 2s tdk..sony..Basf..Thats..plus 100 prerecorded ..on ebay for £1!...had to collect but was on route to a planned journey! the guy was moving and just didnt want the hassle of postage etc! i still rekon you got a good deal as a deal like i got is as rare as rare can be!
HA! Nice haul! I love taping on them! Tip! You can set up a tape deck and record from your PC and record from ahem!, spotify, etc. Use a good deck with a bias and Dolby B and it's damn good! don't say I told you! And to think they try to crack down on downloads, well I'm streaming to analog so stick it up yer butts music mongers!
Yeah BASF ferro 1 I had several them stolen as a kid but not the higher grade ones, never used scotch tapes (can't comment on them) my parents did use the Philips & maxwell when recording from vinyl as for the stick on labels - never used them they flake off & jam in cassette players including car stereos but again the BASF range were the best each side seem 2 come with an extra added number of additional minutes despite what it said on the tape (60,90 or 120) which was handy there others I do recognised & might have used only once but good memories
Any ideas on where to get cassettes newer tapes but older bands? I was in New York City stayed in Midtown at the Marriott . they all told me there are no places around here but on Bleckker street there might be some stores does anybody have any other ideas?
Mark Santucci sometimes. It’s always a crapshoot with tapes. I grab the ones that look good and hope for the best. Most of the time they’re fine. If the tape inside is messed up, I use the rest for parts.
The Irish like cassettes! Ha! Not really, it’s hard to find cassettes now as people have an obsession with the latest thing here and many have dumped their LPs and cassettes for the ‘superior’ mp3!!!
Abba super sir
Belle, io le odoro anche, i miei ricordi più belli da quAndo ero piccolo.Le uso ancora oggi!
D'you ever switchreels, and tried backwards too?
Not really!

Those AGFA and BASF tapes look ancient, like maybe mid 1970's or so. Got anything going back to the 60's?
