James Corden has quickly established himself among the current late-night glut as the funnest of talk show hosts. As much as I loved Letterman, he never would've danced with the band like Corden does here and with virtually every other act that comes on his show. His enthusiasm is infectious & all the guests seem to appreciate his fun-loving style.
Watching in 2021, I'm getting tired just watching his dancing and yet I wanna dance too!! 🎤😁🤘
i miss old cage the elephant. That debut album was fuckin genuis. Not one bad song. Also very lyrical. Now its very chorus heavy makes me sad. Still love them though.

Bob I think their new stuff is brilliant as well, I really got into them when Melophobia was released which is still my favorite record by them.

Id say their newer music is BETTER. Their debut had a few moments where they kinda blatantly just copy other bands lile The Pixies. They learned to draw inspiration and make it their own and thats whats great about Melophobia and Tell Me I'm Pretty

New to the whole Cage the Elephant scene, but I've "heard" them on the radio from time to time and was kinda "eh" for years, and I just saw them at Weenie Roast this year and they blew my FREAKIN mind! Totally a fan now!
And judging by the great music they have, I have a lot to catch up on!

If you like they're debut album you should really listen to Perfect Confusion. It's an album by the band of the same name started by Matt and a few others (including CTE members). It's like Cage The Elephant before Cage The Elephant existed

Now THIS is what I was looking for. That Mess Around video uploaded to their channel was just some clickbait, it's almost as though they don't like to hear themselves play live, or they don't want others to hear them (at least through video recordings it seems).

+that one ary Solved it, y'all. There's a performance of theirs on KCRW, and it would appear that the lead guitarist is actually playing the synth line on his guitar. I spotted a Whammy pedal on his pedal board and I figure that's how he's getting it up that octave. The vibrato could either come from another pedal or just his technique, especially since it would appear that he's playing it with a slide.
