Thanks for that . Went to Hull yesterday and saw the bridge as we went kind of under it. Didn’t have time to go over. This helped a lot with missing out .
My family are from Hull and we used to catch a ferry to reach the other side before the bridge was built. I love walking across this bridge. So many fond memories. Thanks for sharing Steve.
Thanks for this video! Went to Humber Bridge today and no courage to walk across it due to phobia of heights! Just walked a bit and went back ! Amazing infrastructure indeed.
I walked across it for the first time a couple of weeks ago...something I have wanted to do for years but was never brave enough...so am so glad I did.
That is a cool drive and great commentary too. Having travelled to so many countries around the world it is amazing that I haven't explored some parts of England considering that I am from Nottingham but I had no reasons to go to Hull - however, might do a detour to go onto the Humber Bridge to get to York instead - the only downside is that you have to pay toll charges!!
Driving it is one thing... Walking it... Now that's an experience... especially on a lovely day. Oh yes. the view is to die for... well not literally :)
@@shep9231 lol..well I don't particularly want to do bungee jumping from the Humber Bridge after walking half way through it lol But yes that is a good suggestion to walk on it and see the nice views there if there are any pavements to walk on
Hi .I would like to drive on the bridge ,BUT I don't like hight at all .I'm going to have a try in a few weeks time thanks for the video it helps .xxxxxxxx
Hiya Steve, hope your settling into the new job OK. So your in a German Hill Detector now. Look forward to seeing your logs once your set up and settled in. Drive safe 🚛🌪️
Thanks Mick. Yep, so far so good. Taking my time to make the cab space work for me and then I will start again with the videos. Hopefully not too long!
9 and a half years of driving and I cannot bring myself to drive over it.Its high, over water and I personally know one who took their own life on it (I have walked across in the past and as a coach passenger though)
Fantastic video. I remember the memory card glitch and liked seeing this view of the Humber. Best of luck in the new job role and hope it all goes smoothly. Just out of pure geeky ness. I watched Tom Scott do a video on the “work” you where seeing on the bridge cables there on the Humber stretch. Very interesting if you like to know what and why!! ruclips.net/video/dLQQ1F7hplA/видео.html Simon and Family.

6:53: I thought you'd appreciate the Humber bridge - Ohh yes... we do!
Great Quality video.
Very good, always wanted to go over that bridge but live a long way away, cheers.
I don't think there's many left that I've not driven over but I still find them every now and again!
I drove over it on Friday I hate being near the sea so it was a nightmare for me
It’s on my doorstep, a magnificent feat of engineering!

Agreed. be safe bud :)
3:36 is when they actually get to the bridge
The intensity is gripping
nice video. thanks
For those who are wondering the extra lane at the toll is for emergency services
Edit: maybe they use the motorcycle lane
thanks for the video steve, hope the job is going well looking forward to the new vidoes.be safe on your travels.

How much is the toll for a car these days ?
£1.50
Even just watching the video makes me nervous afraid of heights
Watching in late 2022 and still 12 quid for a truck. Just about the only thing in the country that hasn't gone daft price wise.

I drove on the exact road as he did at the beginning like 2 days agi
15.16 in U.S. dollars
If I was you I wouldn’t look to the left
Why ??
