So good to hear his voice today. This song is amazing. Wiped the tears and helped him to survive. A lot of Colin’s work has wiped my tears and helped me survive for years.
As a huge XTC fan it was such a kick to hear Colin not only singing again but actually in a promo, and seeming to enjoy himself too! I'm thoroughly addicted to this track and now have the album on my playlist. Love it, guys!
He had a great time, and was a wonderful chap to work with. See our other video with an interview. BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Sure would be nice to have a Colin Moulding solo album. Maybe his reading these praises might inspire him to do so. He doesn't have to work with the overbearing Andy, doesn't have to tour. Just record it at home with friends and then PLEASE let us buy it!
It not written by him, and I don't know how much is is influence on the words. But it works well with him on vocals. It becomes a Colins song I'd even say.
Really great to hear Colin's voice again, and a great song to boot too. Colin's voice sounds richer and more sonorous than in his XTC days. Well done to all involved in this!
Are ya kidding me?! Colin's back?! And Tony (No Pictures, Please.) Levin on bass?! I'm lovin this! If only Adrian Belew was on guitar... Keep it comin, Mr. Moulding!
Hey Mike... Nirvana was my band growing up, the rawness, angst, art and f.u attitude really inspired and it happened when I was 16. Its my way to pay homage to them, since I'm the non-prog roots part of the band. Great call man... that was really amazing of you to pick up on that
now i know for sure whose mind made all the XTC harmonies, which is what brought me to XTC in the first place....i hope there will be more....i really love this.....this is about the 20th time ive listened.....you have a fan here :-)
I was thrilled when Colin released his EP, but am still eagerly awaiting a full CD of all new Colin penned studio material!! I hate to admit it, yet not surprised, that this track is way better than anything Andy has put out in a very long time.
It took me just about 5 fuckin seconds to love this song immediately and as it progressed, well...it makes you realise how much XTC have been one of the greatest bands in history.
I'm surprised that Colin didn't play the bass on this song. It seems like if you have Colin Moulding in the studio he might as lay down the bass track too.
Good does not necessarily mean it's selling. But Colin Moulding should know that better than me. Thanks for all the great music and fun, Mr. Moulding! As many, I as well would love to hear from you here and there again.
Colin doesn't get enough credit for his contributions to XTC. Partridge is great, but Colin, while not as prolific, is his equal in terms of sheer quality of his songwriting/singing. Plus, his lyrics tend to be more direct, and his melodies quite catchy. Come back, Colin!
Dude told of in the song's the guy in the daily grind. He's the guy with success without love. The guy with success _without_ success; so-called success. The heckler came in and heckled. Beauty was around. Heckler was invited in for tea. Beauty was left alone. Bye bye, beauty for a long time. Hello in the end.
Marty, you made us chuckle, well done man! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants". This time, we got Billy Sherwood on bass, if thats ok ;)
0:44 Shoveling _shredded_ paper in an office space? Does that mean he was shoveling paperwork that's eventually shredded anyway? He then threw down the shovel.
What's going on? Is it just me or is it that at 1:18 the crown logo in the top left looks a bit _too much_ like devil horns with a pitchfork in front of them?
This is as good as anything Colin has done with XTC. In an alternate universe, this would've topped the charts.
Thank you Kirk! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
This is the first time most XTC fans have actually seen Colin in the flesh for well over a decade now !! Just awesome & cheers again :~)
Thanks! Hopefully there will be more to come with Colin!

oh yes please!!!!!

One of the very best songs from anyone involved at any point in XTC. A masterpiece.
So good to hear his voice today. This song is amazing. Wiped the tears and helped him to survive. A lot of Colin’s work has wiped my tears and helped me survive for years.
Same for us. It's been our honor to work with him. BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".

What a cracking song, proggy folky poppy XTC'y .............welcome back Colin
It not written by him, and I don't know how much is is influence on the words. But it works well with him on vocals. It becomes a Colins song I'd even say.
Still lovely.

Keep it comin, Mr. Moulding!
Tony loves taking pictures! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Video has a very "Heart Shaped Box" vibe to it. And it's a treat to hear Colin singing in a higher register again.

Mike Gervasi I think he sounds like Phil Collins on this track. Melodic and plaintive. A heartthrob from my youth.
Swindons' finest still rules
He still has has fastball. BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Heard this when it first came out. Absolutely great to see Colin singing after so many years. Thanks for the vid, boys.
You're welcome! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Yay, Annie Savage! Just seeing her makes me smile.
She, Fred and Rob were great!
Colin, anche se passa il tempo,è sempre lui,un grande compositore, con una voce inconfondibile ed uno stile davvero personale.
That keyboard part during the chorus is great
Thank you! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Colin was a key member of the most under-appreciated band in music history. XTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did a 2nd track with him- “Goes by Gravity” on our Giants album in 2020.

Agreed! BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
A fantastic song, and a perfect choice for vocals. Well done all.
The “heart-ticks” at the beginning is a nice homage to the beginning of “Dying” from Skylarking.
Levin and Moulding on one Track! :)
We had fun putting this together. BTW We have a new song with Colin on our new album "Giants".
Love this, come back Colin xxxx

Reasonable -but we already had Tony Levin on bass for that one ;)

Nice track. Nice keyboards. Great backing vocals. Great to hear and see him (Colin) again.
Great video my friend!
R.I.P. Peter Banks.
We miss him often. Humbled beyond words to be a small part of his legacy. His playing on the album was tremendous and inspiring.
I just listened to in Extremis this morning, and it hit me hard... in our minds he was going to with us on the next album
Excellente!

Funny (or is it?) how something can be right in front of me and how I _don't_ notice it until a later time.
0:44
Shoveling _shredded_ paper in an office space?
Does that mean he was shoveling paperwork that's eventually shredded anyway? He then threw down the shovel.
I'm beginning to wonder if somehow the train part is his wife's incoming death.
I think I realize some of what's going on.
3:12 his trying to go to his (dead) wife is implying suicide and the angels holding him back from it.
What's going on? Is it just me or is it that at 1:18 the crown logo in the top left looks a bit _too much_ like devil horns with a pitchfork in front of them?
Hey, Band! Are there still any of the Double LP Limited Edition in stock?
Those sold pretty quickly. But we are doing a pre-order for our new album Giants that includes 2 vinyl editions.
Is it about Paul is dead?
