I decided to learn to handsew to eventually make a quilt, but I have zero experience and decided to embroider first to familiarize myself with handsewing. I've bought a few of those kits that are *supposed* to teach you how to embroider, but they've always had such unclear instruction (and horrible quality of thread). This video is very helpful and clear! This is my least favorite stitch to do so far. My thread keeps getting caught and then it tugs and the flower is a mess, but it's really pretty when you do it! Hopefully someday I'll get mine to be decent. That, or just avoid them forever.

Yes, this is 6 strands. I like to use 6 for these for texture unless they are really small, then I use 3.
