I am pretty sure that some of the traps in home alone would have killed the intruders, just as others would have mildly irritated them.

Wow this movie is insane in so many levels:
1- little girl on a killing spree
2- I didn't realize that was the actor from Paul Blart (originally from King of queens) until 3rd of the movie and he looked amazing.
3- the gentle Giant was awesome, sad he died
4- the CLASSIC Choke slam!
5- that dude from community series.
Also the giant was Dredger who fought RDJ as Sherlock Holmes in the first film.

I don't understand as well, i can't even move on for 5 years after seeing my dog (7 y.o) being euthanized firsthand to ease his incurable illness. I even offensively refused to get another one out of loyalty, grief, and trauma that kept me restless sometimes for that long time. And even then i adopted another one by myself that looks exactly like him, coping by thinking it's his reincarnation or some sort. I'll never understand how those people sleep at night, they either cope faster or straight up don't have any feeling anymore since the early last moment with their ex-spouse

That film is based on Norse mythology. The dad is Loki, the daughter has all attributes of the 3 children Loki has, and the main brute is Odin, which is why he is left with one eye, Odin has one eye, and the key, that is the symbol of Ragnarok.

I’m honestly glad she didn’t kill Kayla and tye because I was really worried though I know the feeling of having your mother die and get a new one it’s hard to accept but wanting to kill them is to harsh so I’m thankful she didn’t do that
No one is giving kayla enough credit for the fact that despite having her own little kid with her trapped by the bad guy and that making them angry was a huge risk for her kid, she still did her best to help becky and even try to hide her existence from the bad guys.
Movie recap is too good except Killing Apex which is a bit sad to end that way.

Wish apex lived. He tried to save the woman and her son. He helped out the other girl. He could've finished her off but decided against it. He even returned to save her when he could've just not return at all. Then she kills him.

Its kinda funny how he starts as a bad guy, but his character develops in a good guy, while the girl starts as a good guy and develops in a bad guy. He also told her to not go down his path and with her killing him, she basically choose his path.
Sure apex isnt good, but he saw what he had become and tried to change, quit everything and live a normal good live. Even trying to save the family.
The girl just spiraled down the bad path and killing apex, basically was her choosing his old path. She went so psycho that i wasnt even sure, if she would have let the mother and kid live lmao
I think one of the main message of the movie is that people can change for the better or the worse. Killers like apex can become good and girls like the girl in the movie can become killers

Which, if you pay close attention to the main movie story line (from Becky´s point of view), saving her life is simply not enough.
What the movie really is lacking of, is proper storytelling. Judging from bits and pieces from flashbacks - her first and most important "anchor" to sanity was her mother. Taken away by unknown disease.
Her second "anchor", although not as good as the first one, her father, was brutally tortured and not so much later murdered (second great minus - where the heck did the douchebags know about the key and how did it appear in the cabin?).
She did not have any other close relatives.
Her last "anchor" to her one and only primary family, her safe haven of some sort, was Diego.
And Apex did a grave mistake by attacking it.
With such shattered mind of Becky (at this point) his demise was not unexpected.
This is really strong plot armor right here
Tell me about it. A little thin and small muscled girl somehow beats 5 grown men. The only thing is that the little girl is a psychopath, with a lot of plot armor.

You know the phrase "Hell hath no fury like..." Yeah, God help those poor bastards. Hell would be nothing compared to what I would do to a dog killer. "Cruel and unusual" doesn't even come close.
So they never reveal what the key is for? I think someone in the comments said it was likely for a big stash of weapons, I suppose that makes the most sense. Also I am assuming the lake house used to belong to the main bad guy like 10 years ago before he got arrested and his place was sold to the little girl's family?
There's a sequel already made that brings the key back, but we have to wait for the 3rd movie before they explain the key.

so, one guy is afraid of dogs which allows her to attack from the house, another supposedly can't swim so she has the chance to drive the propeller into his head, and the other "has a heart" so he doesn't kill her, and the dog that was shot is actually still alive... come on. ☠

Its funny apex changes to be a better in the movie, while the girl gets worse and worse. Her killing apex and having no emotions while he saved her shows how she took the wrong path and turned into a psychopath. They are the exact opposit
