Just a tidbit of information from a 70+ year old with experience of bushes around the house. Don't do it, do flowers instead of shrubs. Our shrubs got leggy and ugly so we were getting them dug up. The roots from them ran under the foundation of our home and messed it up. We had to get it releveled. Very expensive. Love the cabinets and counteracts. It is going to be so awesome when you get in. You need to screw those screws on each corner down about 2 inches. That will make that shelf angle down so the feed will slide off.

@@EddyFamilyFarm one other thing to consider is your plantings near your foundation you want to to shade the foundation not draw the moisture away. If your plantings draw away the moisture it could cause your foundation to crack.

Hi guys i just wanted to say please dont do any shrubs or gardens right by the house. All pest control will say the same thing. Not to mention easy place for snakes to hide as well as termites. House is coming along beautifully.

I personally would do concrete all the way up to the house. It will be nice to put potted plants sitting in the areas you drew out. You can easily wash the concrete down and keep your home cleaner. Plus, there are no bug, critter problems.

Y'all should do yourself a HUGE favor and concrete up to the house and then do a flower bed on the other side of the concrete between the walkway and lawn...We learned the hard way! Stephanie can do some beautiful plants and flowers in pots on rollers she can move up next to the house. It just looks so much cleaner and it's SOOOO much easier to take care of! We just blow the leaves and stuff off the concrete into the lawn and mulch it up with the mower! Congrats on the new house! Can't wait until y'all get to move in!! Blessings!

No shrubs next to the house it can promote termites ,ants and the roots work their way into the foundation just concrete up to the brick or put pepple rock then planter’s with the shrubs or a few pot plants around the house 😊that way you can use a blower to keep the areas clean next to the house.❤

I can't tell really well but it looks like you have a really nice layout of your house it doesn't look like one of those cookie cutter houses lots of room❤

In the areas you leave open for plants, you could let the kids start a little veggie garden of their own. In the back at least.

If you do concrete all the way to the house remember natural gas line leave a space so in the future if you have to dig it up the pipe it will be more easier to get too.

If you do all concrete and no shrub beds ~ you can just put planter boxes or lge ceramic pots on the concrete and change them when you change you mind about things , or if plants die . I would concrete right up to the house myself less work than care taking plant beds .

I’d run cement to the house. No shrubs or bushes. You could put potted flowers out

Endless summer hydrangeas and Hostas are a fab combination around a house. If u clear out a few trees you could plant some deer forage. Crandall is harvesting deer right now too. His family don’t care for beef. They have some recipe on their website.

When you buy the bar stools, they come in different heights. You need to get the right ones so you can sit comfortably. They come 24 to 40 inches. I had to get ones that are 28". You need to check what height is right for you.

Leave it on the thick side. Deer feel secure using an overgrow area and might quit using a spot that's too thinned out. Just pick your shots.

Try to lower that plate down but leave one part higher than the other like maybe half-inch height wouldn’t shakes. It will roll off better just a thought.

You can find gravity feeders. We had the timer type feeder like you have now.. after years of it.. you will find that each year you have to repair them. Even with lifetime warranty you figure out its not easy just to send it in for repair.. they run about 3 or 4 months behind.. we went to gravity feeder and the much better.. no batteries replace, no motor to repair or etc.
