This animation struck me in the emotions, particularly since I raised my Type: Null into Silvally, and have never removed it from me team since. Very impressive work here, I really love this animation.
I’ve never removed my Silvally from my party since I got it either... just knowing it’s backstory (even though it’s very little information) I’ve felt bad for it and I don’t think I could take it out of my party without feeling awful. Silvally is tied with umbreon for my favorite Pokémon, and I think Silvally deserved to be treated better
The difference is that the fossil fusions and type null is that the fossils were created with love and be raised by you, and type null was literally created and abused for science studies.

It was extremely agressive and out of control, they considered it a failure because of this, Much like Mewtwo it was created as a sentient weapon to serve mankind, Although Mewtwo was able to escape because it was a Psychic type and EXTREMELY powerful. Type: Full couldn't escape because although it could change it's types it was nowhere near as powerful as Mewtwo and it was under more controlled conditions then Mewtwo ever was,
When I saw the preview, I was nowhere near prepared to experience this. This captured so much raw emotion, it was incredible. The biting fear of Null, the presence of stakes with the scientists, Gladion's guilt and mercy...every second of screentime was powerful in its own right. I am blown away by this, I seriously am...wow. You can bet I'm gonna share this with everyone I know, it is crazy what a comeback you've just made after being gone for so long. (With reason, of course!)

It would actually be interesting if the anime developed Type:Null's story a bit more. They could give it a sort of backstory as in Mewtwo Strikes Back, but with one important twist: while Mewtwo was a highly intelligent individual who contemplates his existence and the meaning of life in deep and philosophical ways, Type:Null is basically just a terrified animal being tormented in a lab. It hits much harder when the subject is nothing more than an innocent being with no understanding of the suffering it endures at the hands of humans.
it went through way worse the mewtwo did, being the literal Frankin Stine pokemon, being tortured, forced to wear a helmet that pains it even more, forced into stasis, then is hunted down by its owners mother so I think it would a wayyy better reason to be mad at humans than mewtwo did

There were 4, but one of them died. You read that right, one of the silvally created died due to mistreatment.This is the only cannon death since the pokemon tower, which makes it significantly more powerful.

I do really like the little details like the flickering of Type:Null's eyes or the bolts on its head spinning when it makes an attack, which highlight its semi-mechanical nature. I would be disappointed actually if those aren't included in the anime 😂
Its actually pretty accurate based on hints throughout the game. If you go into the aether research labs and read everything you can, the backstory is almost exactly the same. The only thing missing from this video is the original name, Type: Full. But then after acting out, they canceled the project, renamed the creature Type: Null and cryogenically froze the 3 samples they had for what was planned to be all of eternity. Then Gladion came by. This is about what I remember reading in the game itself, but I'm probably missing something
In the end, Silvally had to contend with what most clones can't ever bring themselves to accept. Silvally found out that it was nothing more than a clone of Arceus, A "Copy of a God".
I don’t think Silvally is a clone. To clone Arceus they would’ve needed dna samples from him. But he’s only in the human realm when he’s needed. Otherwise he’s been in his dimension for well over millennias. I don’t think there’d be any way to collect a sample. New at least lives and in that world, but it took a long time of searching to finally find its sample. Silvally was more likely created from various dna samples to at least come close to Arceus. Probably a dna sample each from a different type of Pokémon and that RKS system built in to allow Arceus’ unique type changing ability to be used by one other creature. So not a clone, but a genetic close enough second.

You said so yourself that Silvally doesn't have genetic coding, but according to legend Arceus with Mew's help managed to create the Pokemon World, so in a way Silvally sort of does have Arceus's DNA samples and like you said Silvally has Arceus's Virtual code. This is also relevant in the real world as some people have been trying to either mimic or surpass the power of the gods through science. Not only that Silvally's connections to Arceus is similar to Arceus's connections to Eevee, mainly in a mineral sense: Arceus=Gold, Silvally=Silver, Eevee=Bronze, this is also reflected in their abilities to change Types. So as far as I can see, wether or not Silvally has Arceus's DNA, Silvally is still a Clone of Arceus.
i come back to this animation to relieve the inner full metal alchemist loving child part of me. science truly is brutal, the inbreedment of the pug to fill the desires of mankind, to the lab testing of using shampoo and hair conditioner on animals. i loved silvally ever since i laid eyes on its freakish frankenstien appearence. a weapon made to slaughter what the aether foundation percieves as a threat. and to rival that of mewtwo.. HELL, even genesect. a tragic chimera. who rejected it's own software made by it's company, going berserk and lashing out at all attempts to escape. but only being silenced and restrained, put into a deep sleep. i thank gamefreak for making the concept of a chimera pokemon, and i thank you, unusualbox, for making this animation.
This is just so great and amazing I can't believe it! It really shows just how dark Silvally's story is. I seriously wish the games and/or show had the guts to give painful stories the more serious tone they deserve.

That's correct, you can find records of three Type:Nulls in the Aether Paradise Labs in the game. Additionally, you can get two Type:Nulls in the game, whilst the last one stays with Gladion and Type:Full/Silvally
Which now their are now more then 3 since the Galar region some how got one, my theory is that someone did a Jurassic park and got the DNA in the Alola region and made one their own! I could go further saying they did a Jurassic world 2 and sell the DNA to other regions!

That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. But I only have 3 criticisms that's all. 1 it was actually called Type: full, they didn't call it null until they saw how much of a failure it was. 2 there were 3 Type: Nulls, where did the other 2 go? And 3 I think it would have been better if that Type: Full saw the sun, a creature living in isolation its entire life feeling sunlight for the first time feels more powerful
With point; 1, That's why the the title is "We now call it type: null" and the starting dialog is a post story recording on his ambitions. Point 2; I want to know that too, I mean you got the main story one Gladion owns, then the one the player gets... and that's it. this story is about Gladion's one. Point 3; that not bad, could have worked too. I think maybe I just find the stars more captivating.
I love the story you were telling with this. I wish you took more time to learn to animate rather than relying on Tweens for the majority of this animation. I felt a lot of emotions and the storytelling was incredible. Keep up the good work!
Alright, I know I'm nitpicking, and I know this is over 2 years old, but at the start he says "My chimera... My, Null." In the Aether Paradise basement, in one of the rooms, you can read the research logs from when they were creating Type: Null. In these logs, it states that they were called "Type: Full", but when they put the helmet on them, they cancelled the project, and declared them "Type: Null." Great animation anyway

Type null and full represent us full: the truth behind the mask our true selves,our true potential. Null: the us others want to change, to limit, to control kinda hurts when you think about it.

Do you prefer to work storyboards or is the rigging more interesting or etc? It's just always kind of cool to find out when so much work goes into making each animation!

I remember grinding my type: Null to level 100 and maxing out its stat in pokemon sword. It was worth it cause he was so overpowered in Dynamax raids.
This is such a good video. The animation could have been refined more. But the emtion, pacing, directing of this video was awsome. Voice acting amazing. And great colors!
Crystal madu The animation itself was awesome. If there was one thing that I would say needs work it would be the sound effects. They all seemed too quiet and lacked the impact that you'ld expect from something like this
I do really like the little details like the flickering of Type:Null's eyes or the bolts on its head spinning when it makes an attack, which highlight its semi-mechanical nature. I would be disappointed actually if those aren't included in the anime 😂

Its actually pretty accurate based on hints throughout the game. If you go into the aether research labs and read everything you can, the backstory is almost exactly the same. The only thing missing from this video is the original name, Type: Full. But then after acting out, they canceled the project, renamed the creature Type: Null and cryogenically froze the 3 samples they had for what was planned to be all of eternity. Then Gladion came by. This is about what I remember reading in the game itself, but I'm probably missing something

In the end, Silvally had to contend with what most clones can't ever bring themselves to accept. Silvally found out that it was nothing
more than a clone of Arceus, A "Copy of a God".
I don’t think Silvally is a clone. To clone Arceus they would’ve needed dna samples from him. But he’s only in the human realm when he’s needed. Otherwise he’s been in his dimension for well over millennias. I don’t think there’d be any way to collect a sample. New at least lives and in that world, but it took a long time of searching to finally find its sample. Silvally was more likely created from various dna samples to at least come close to Arceus. Probably a dna sample each from a different type of Pokémon and that RKS system built in to allow Arceus’ unique type changing ability to be used by one other creature. So not a clone, but a genetic close enough second.
@@purple-eyesgreydragon I do see your line of thinking, but I don't think people need DNA Samples in this time and age in order to create clones. You said so yourself that Silvally doesn't have genetic coding, but according to legend Arceus with Mew's help managed to create the Pokemon World, so in a way Silvally sort of does have Arceus's DNA samples and like you said Silvally has Arceus's Virtual code. This is also relevant in the real world as some people have been trying to either mimic or surpass the power of the gods through science. Not only that Silvally's connections to Arceus is similar to Arceus's connections to Eevee, mainly in a mineral sense: Arceus=Gold, Silvally=Silver, Eevee=Bronze, this is also reflected in their abilities to change Types. So as far as I can see, wether or not Silvally has Arceus's DNA, Silvally is still a Clone of Arceus.

i loved silvally ever since i laid eyes on its freakish frankenstien appearence. a weapon made to slaughter what the aether foundation percieves as a threat. and to rival that of mewtwo.. HELL, even genesect.
a tragic chimera. who rejected it's own software made by it's company, going berserk and lashing out at all attempts to escape. but only being silenced and restrained, put into a deep sleep.
i thank gamefreak for making the concept of a chimera pokemon, and i thank you, unusualbox, for making this animation.

This is just so great and amazing I can't believe it! It really shows just how dark Silvally's story is. I seriously wish the games and/or show had the guts to give painful stories the more serious tone they deserve.

Shini Umbreon No, Type: Null CAN'T change Types, thanks to that helmet. Silvally is a Type: Null sans helmet. Thus, it's faster and able to change Types... Just give it a Type of Memory.

Poor Silvally, he didn't deserve to get abused by Faba. It breaks my heart to think about the pain and suffering this poor Pokémon must have endured at the hands of someone who should have protected and cared for it. Silvally, like any other creature, deserves love, respect, and compassion.

That's correct, you can find records of three Type:Nulls in the Aether Paradise Labs in the game.
Additionally, you can get two Type:Nulls in the game, whilst the last one stays with Gladion and Type:Full/Silvally
Which now their are now more then 3 since the Galar region some how got one, my theory is that someone did a Jurassic park and got the DNA in the Alola region and made one their own!
I could go further saying they did a Jurassic world 2 and sell the DNA to other regions!

That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
But I only have 3 criticisms that's all. 1 it was actually called Type: full, they didn't call it null until they saw how much of a failure it was. 2 there were 3 Type: Nulls, where did the other 2 go? And 3 I think it would have been better if that Type: Full saw the sun, a creature living in isolation its entire life feeling sunlight for the first time feels more powerful
With point; 1, That's why the the title is "We now call it type: null" and the starting dialog is a post story recording on his ambitions. Point 2; I want to know that too, I mean you got the main story one Gladion owns, then the one the player gets... and that's it. this story is about Gladion's one. Point 3; that not bad, could have worked too. I think maybe I just find the stars more captivating.

In the Aether Paradise basement, in one of the rooms, you can read the research logs from when they were creating Type: Null. In these logs, it states that they were called "Type: Full", but when they put the helmet on them, they cancelled the project, and declared them "Type: Null."

I thought i was the only one who runs a competitive fairy Silvally what moves do you run? mine has swords dance, flame charge, multi attack and iron head with adamant nature.

As a man of both religion and science I enplor you to understand the way I see Pokémon is each Pokémon we choose is apart of us type null however it is different it's not a part of us it IS us no matter the up bringing we are always expect so much of us no matter if we are poor mans son or rich kings hire we are expected to change the world in some way rather it be by protecting the world......or destroying it however we find our escapes until our escapes.....our Pokémon reminds us of our reality the cruel, inhuman,violent,injust, world that we just by breathing are killing. The way I see it we all can connect with Pokémon from day one we find something we love about it but when life throws you away from the escape you love and tells you to grow a spark of courage you become NULL and VOID. You have a mission you must complete a certain mission to defeat reality even if you die alone in your quest they're is no God only mortality. And we are it's guard. After all " it's just a game" isn't it? Think about it.
