Yes more tutorials please!!! My journey started with K-Pop then i found your channel. I really want to learn Korean and Japanese and I really love your channel so both combined would help me and many others a lot! Thanks for this video now I’m going to watch it ❤
Like someone who likes your culture a lot, since years ago, watch dramas and listen kpop. I was so grateful to can understand this sentences so easily and completely. Thank you so much, you did it very well and awesome. Saludos desde México 💗
japanese is incomprehensible because you can’t speak it lol. i like linguistics so i’ll yap about why japanese has long words for you. japanese uses chinese characters, which means that to make complex words (words that don’t refer to basic concepts, like tree or human), you have to string together multiple chinese characters together. a chinese character is equivalent to one word or morpheme. a word that might be one word in english might be made up of multiple words in japanese. another reason why words are long is because japanese has a strict syllable structure: C(G)V(N). c = consonant. g = glide (or “y” sound). v = vowel. n = the letter “n”. consonants always have to be followed by vowels unless followed by “y” and cannot end in a consonant unless the consonant is “n”, or if the consonant is being repeated. that means that if a word from middle chinese, like for example “kwok” (meaning country, now in modern chinese is guó), they have to add an additional vowel on the end and have to get rid of the “w” - this makes words longer and more bothersome to say. sorry for yapping, i’m just interested in this topic also, this is the same reason korean has long words. because it also **used** chinese characters + is also agglutinative
@loppicat yeah, i know. it’s be outrageous if they got rid of the words since they are 30% of everyday vocabulary and 60% of korean vocabulary in general. also i recently discovered that hanja is used rarely in newspapers to distinguish vague language and homophones but it’s still taught in schools.
love this! would love if u could do another one in the future with interesting new korean phrases or more advanced ones for intermediate/advanced learners
hey slyn! can we maybe get more videos like this in the future? because i think many of us, your viewers want to learn the korean language, even if it's just for fun, so i think it will be very convenient from a native 🥰
Among all the languages I've ever learnt, Korean is GENUINELY the cutest, most elegantly beautiful, and well-designed. I told the same thing to my Korean teacher back in university, and she replied that 세종대왕 would be much pleased to hear this 😂. It's a shame that I only got to take Korean courses for a year, and that I lack chances to really use (not to say manage) the language, but once in a while when I realize I understood a sentence you had spoken in Korean without turning on the subtitles, or agreed to a line in IU's new release without looking at the lyrics, honestly I would still somehow be proud.😂 REALLY appreciate Slyn's contents, for entertainment, educational purposes, and of course good sleep quality.😂 This specific video reminds me of the joyful times I spent in the Korean courses I took. I would be visiting 서울 for the 2nd time January, 2025, and have given myself a task to speak as much Korean as I may while shopping, ordering food, and asking for directions etc.. Wish me luck, love you Slyn! ❤️
wow, even though i heard all these sentences already i still learnt something new! I was hooked throughout the whole video because you're just so good at explaining! Please teach us some more😊
Literally i enjoyed the lesson SLYN ❤ Thank You Very much❤ I have learn some korean words very quickly ... And when you say 21:55 This ... Sounds like very pretty and funny 😂❤
Thank you so much for this Slyn. I didnt notice i havent commented yet. I was probably too sleepy. Im trying to learn Korean, but i have too much work to do. So, im getting there way too slow. I may can say Hi, but thats all LOL. But hey, i can read it at least. Even if i dont have any idea what the heck im reading. But well :P It is way too useful. Hoping for more!
bueno se que no se mucho coreano pero me gusto este tipo de asmr que te enseña la verdad es que me gustaría aprender coreano algún día, actualmente estudio japones de manera personal y bueno me alegra este tipo de contenido, sigue así :D
I think I remember requesting something like this a while ago 😹 whatsoever I'm super glad you decided to make this video! I'll definitely be enjoying this while also learning some new Korean phrases :>
@@Zebrastripegum-m2j My understanding with you is like this "MY FRIEND" First of all you are the one who calls me brother + as you are not Turkish and Turks have a habit of writing among themselves as brother 😉😉
@@Yapraak62 Don't call me "bro" because I am not your "bro" doesn't matter if it means "friend" in your explanation, Im none of these things to you, weirdo.
Haha exactly! But it's really an old expression. Rather, we say sth like 'gae ootgida' or 'joh oot' but these two are kinda informal and slang way. If you want no slang version, you can just emphasize something is funny by using adverbs such as 'neo-mu(너무)', 'eom-cheong(엄청)', 'jin jjja(진짜)', 'gub-na(겁나)' infront of 'oot-gi-da(웃기다=hilarious)' like : jinjja ootgida :)
