Yes your car is safe just got into a major accident with it today, the passenger side was completely flattened where as my side was relatively intact, only got a broken arm

Yeah I was in a crash in my 2016 wrx and the front impact ripped both front wheels off the car bent the roof of the car. I was absolutely fine and walked away without any need for ems
