Hi John, The Same her with Arturia, Got the V-collection and with my Minilab the combo is just perfect for me ... what i mostly do is go to the existing presets and end up sometimes with a synth i would not pick if i would choose only on the model , so it keeps amazing me, yes we have some classics in this collection, hard not to open the v collection for any kind off sound design, nice Tutorial , cheers
That's awesome you got the v collection! There's a lot of good stuff to go thru in there. The sem is really nice too. Arps always come out cool in that one
Nice! I too just got into the V collection and feel a tad overwhelmed with the options haha. You should do one where you go through a couple of the synths in the collection and show some example sounds you like out of them and how they differ in those characteristics! Could be an interesting video
This is making me dig through the V collection again. Hope you put up some sound design videos of the g force ob-x. I’m an ambient student of Chr1s. But watching your videos make me want to write some darkwave for when I DJ goth night
That's awesome! There's lots of good synths in the v collection. Chris is a great teacher! Lots to learn from him. Ill do some stuff around the gforce obx for sure. It's a really good sounding synth!
@@jonaudio picked the OB-x and diva up this weekend. Can’t stop making stupid sounds with them. Seem to get lost in reverb and delay with pad sounds. Really enjoying them
Those two synths work really really well together! You def made two great choices there. Those two produce such authentic sounds. Another one to add to the mix of those would be uhe repro if you don't have it already.
@@jonaudio have been eyeing the repro 5. Have to wait until next month. Have already used up my spending on the two this weekend. I’ve pulled out the Juno 6 and prophet 5 from the v collection to go along side the ob-x and diva. Which repro would you suggest, 1 or 5?
I love both of them pretty much the same, they both have small differences. I probably use 5 a little more because of the polyphony. Try out the demo if you haven't already and see if you like it.
Have you noticed any changes in performance with Arturia collection since switching to Bitwig? I’m an in FL and notice an unpleasant popping sound on certain synths(pigments and SEM, which happen to be 2 of my favorites) regardless of attack/release settings. I have read that this may just be a problem native to FL.
I haven't noticed anything specific with the V collection, but I have noticed that the CPU consumption overall in bitwig seems to be better. The only time I ever got the popping was when the cpu was hitting its limits.
I personally like them both. I tend to gravitate more towards the jup-8, only because there's a few more options. but on a sound basis they are both great! the jun-6 is super fast too

indeed it even seemed i did not yet activated it (new pc..)😞 me ashamed , Acid V is also amazing @@jonaudio
Gotta love this one. Lots good re-creations in the V collection, but this one is one of my favourites.
Same here my man. Straight forward and has that authentic sound 🤙
Nice hands on overview of some of the controls on this beauty. Thanks for sharing! 🤘
you're very welcome!!
Just bought this synth and the softube model 84 having a lot of fun with them. Thanks for the great tips.
You're very welcome! Which one do you enjoy better so far?
@@jonaudio oh I think right now I'm really enjoying the model 84, but they actually compliment eachother so well.
Great video! Made me hop onto my System 8 Jupiter 8 plug-out immediately! Thanks!
Much appreciated, Jon.
Great sounding synth and seems like straightforward UI. My favorite sounding V Collection remains the OP-Xa though.
The op is also one of my favorites! That would sounds awesome!
Cool sound Jon , excellent work 👍
Thanks dude!! 🤙🤙

That's something I've wanted to do for a little while now. Def sounds fun to do!! There lots of really cool synths in the v collection
Nice work!
Thank you!!

Nice lesson Jon! I have to use this one some more, I just did a song with the Mini v3 Moog synth which I love
It's a great synth! Since you mentioned the moog, have you checked out V4 yet?
