I could see getting something like that for longer camping trips, but for my overnight stays at "the farm" I'm very happy with my TesMat mattress. It turns my Model 3 into a fully electric, climate-controlled, hard-shell tent.
It definitely depends on the type of trip too. I put the tent up again without the constraints of filming and massive winds, and it took just under 20 minutes, so it is practical for overnights on the farm 😁 I'm not much of a camper anyway so for me it's going to get a lot of one or two nights with the kids 😊

Thank you! On sleeping with the kids, Heck no 😅...They were on a blow up bed in the tent 😂 They're too clingy to sleep with in general 😉 As the boot/trunk door was open, the car was able to heat both spaces so it was really quite pleasant 😁
Great post , although the set up seems a tad arduous, with a bit of imagination you could probably knock over half the set up time. The design and ideas are out there just gotta put the pieces together, for no additional manufacturing cost.
Thank you! Im glad you liked the video. As an update, I tried it again and got it up in under 20 minutes... The wind and filming impact was pretty severe 😅 Not to mention it being many decades since I last put up a tent 🤣🤣🤣

That is just not sealed enough for me. What about all those gaps and openings? If I want to sleep with mice and flies….
Thanks for the demonstration! I was wondering one thing: Is it not possible to have the Model Y tailgate all the way up with this setup? Other tent solutions I've seen lets you open the gate fully.

Well.. To that question is a simple answer... I was sent the tent to review. I've not tried the inflatable so can only talk to my experience with this model, but i loved it and went up in no time (second go round, without the camera etc...)

So my setup is going to have a swingaway cargo hitch carrier rack. Do you think its possible to setup this MK camp tent at a campsite without removing cargo hitch carrier?
Hi Tony, The tent seals right up to the bumper so i think you'd have to remove the rack i'm afraid.
