I’m turning 50 😢 late this year. Came late to this country and put myself through college…have almost 50k on student loans, a trashy car paid off, no house, and some credit card debt~4500. But everything is in the mind…I will make my life better for me and the family you can count on my words! Thanks for your videos

This is why I didn't buy a more expensive car. Got myself a used beetle and it's paid off. Said money can now be extra cash in my pocket to divest elsewhere like my student loan payments and investment portfolio. I'm just getting started on investing in general so I am a little late at 27 years old. But, I think I am in a good position because I live at home with my parents and they do not care to have me help pay the bills. They are more focused on making sure I save my money so I don't struggle like they did growing up.
I highly advise people who have the privilege to stay at home and not help pay bills to really take advantage of this and not spend frivolously. I have an emergency fund 40k saved up (6 months), a paid off 19k car (this includes taxes and all other optional expenses they give you when buying the car), down to 14k from an initial 30k student loan), opened up and maxed out my Roth IRA this year, and a 5k individual investment portfolio that I also opened up this year too. I'm positive that if I didn't have the privilege to live at home like this, I wouldn't have been able to do this.

I have four buckets that my paycheck goes into. As each bucket fills up, the overflow runs into the other bucket. The slimmer I can make the first buckets, the more that can flow into the last bucket. The last bucket is infinite so it never fills up. The following are my buckets.
    1. Living expenses (Mortgage/rent, food, etc).
    2. Emergency fund (X months of living expenses plus health, auto and home insurance deductible).
    3. Fun expenses (Dinning out, travel, gifts, etc.)
    4. Investments (stocks, real estate, business, career, health, etc.).

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

12:32 one thing I’ve done recently is use curbside pick up at the grocery store and it has done me wonders.
    1. I save money because I can’t buy anything extra! I literally only buy what I need because I only get what’s on the list
    2. I save time and don’t get stressed about goin to the store now! I pull-up and in 5 min I’m done
    3. I save more money because I get more cash back buying online at these stores with their CC then buying in stores
It’s really a win win win!
And even if you’re weirded out by someone random grabbing your veggies or fruit. You can go in and just grab those things so it would still reduce the amount of things you need and therefore reduces how much frivolous spending you can do!!

if you pay yourself first and do all your investing. there's nothing wrong with having a nice car ( monthly payment). eventually that used or older cars are going to start to need more expensive repair. and like ramit sethi said in hes book ( i will teach you to be rich) its ok to buy your latte (in my case a nice car or truck)
after taking care of everthing else first.

You have to have a healthy balance of both saving and spending! Go on vacation, enjoy some of that money you worked for! If you die next month what did all that saving get you? Nothing! I’m not saying don’t save but don’t live a life you won’t enjoy in hope of something that is not guaranteed. Despite what popular RUclipsrs might say, most people aren’t going to be millionaires.

So 10 industries with $1000 in each one with at least 10 stocks per industry. Buy them and forget about them until the next 20 years. Who knows.
