      Hi Navjot,

    Hello, I’m not sure what the right explanation would be for this question. Can you please guide me on this ?
    You have been asked to improve the way test automation tools are being used in your company. Which one of the following is BEST approach
    A. Selecting and automating scripts that test new functionality to find the most defects
    B. Using a Keyword driven testing approach to separate the actions and data from the tools script
    C. Ensuring that all data,inputs and actions are stored in the tools script for ease of maintenance
    D. Keeping expected result separate from the automation tool to allow the testers to check the results
    Correct Answer - B or A?

    • @TMSQUARETECH
      @TMSQUARETECH  3 года назад

      Hi Ashwini,
      First of all are you preparing for Foundation or Test Manager? As the question which you shared is from Advance Level Test Manager.
      If you are preparing for Test Manager then the right answer is B as keyword driven testing allows to separate the actions and data for easy customization, less maintenance and great efficiency of end to end automation.

    Hi Neeraj Sir. I am preparing for ISTQB foundation level test. Been to mock tests on some sites but their answers were quite contradictory. Like:
    What information need to be included in test incident report? Options are : 1. How to fix the fault. 2. How to reproduce the fault. 3. Test Environment details 4. Severity and priority 5. The actual and expected outcomes.
    My answer was 1. But it said incorrect answer, correct one is 5.
    But on other site , it said 1 option is correct.
    Can you please tell me which is the relevant option as per ISTQB syllabus.

    • @TMSQUARETECH
      @TMSQUARETECH  4 года назад +4

      A good question but I think you missed something in question. Based on the options given the question should be " What information need NOT to be included in test incident report? and the right answer for that is 1. How to fix the fault. as this is not included in incident report.
      As I know the incident report and syllabus option 2, 3,4,5 all are mandatory to be included. You can refer 5.6 Defect report tutorial for confirmation.

    And another one : When a new testing tool is purchased it should be used first by:
    1. A small team to establish the best way to use the tool.
    2. Everyone who may eventually have some use for the tool .
    3. The independent testing team.
    4. The managers to see what projects it should be used in.
    Please tell me the correct answer. Some are saying option 1 but some are saying option 2.
    Many Thanks

    • @TMSQUARETECH
      @TMSQUARETECH  4 года назад +1

      Hi Dipsy,
      In this case whenever a new tool is bought we always start with a pilot project which means it will be given to one team/project and asked to use in real time and collect feedback so that best ways to use the tools can be determined from real usage or also we can determine if it will be useful in other projects or not.
      Hope this goes in line with the understanding.
