I find things at estate sales and auctions, charity shops, and thrift stores, and even pluck treasures from Goodwill bins and street curbs as they are headed towards the landfill.

Buying rescued treasures helps the planet! If we could all stop buying new things from the big box stores and start treasuring the beautiful things that already exist, we could lessen our personal impact on the planet. That is what YoSoBoHo is all about!

Yes Amy - Goodwill is out of control. If you watch Karen Lavendar Clothesline, she says it all the time - she’s in the Lancaster/ region.
I don’t watch her, but I learned that this is her area. I can imagine she would be a bit disgruntled. There’s still good stuff to be had. You just have to look a little harder. (They can’t know everything.) 😊

I live in Lancaster county and I have been to a lot of good will stores. You can always take a item to the cashier or manager and tell them that if they will lower the price then you will buy it. Usually they will.

Darn!! That is so frustrating! 😣 Do you have any good auctions near you? Do you do estate sales and yard sales? I’d have to find something to replace the thrift shops.
@@YOSOBOHO yes. I have just started doing some auctions. They are not too bad and I try to go to garage sales as we call them here in Oz most Saturdays. They can be hit or miss. My parents keep handing me things to sell from themselves and their friends which is pretty funny. But I will give anything a try.

16:40 what are the odds, I just saw that same pig in another video. I think it was Danni, but she left it behind. Collector pates are super pricey here. I found a couple at 20:00 recently. INSANE! By the way, I picked up the coolest pottery chicken roaster (ja, me who doesn't roast chicken). It even came with instructions! I am going to have to take it to my case next month but I hate giving it up... Of course, I don't roast chicken anyway...
