Glad it was helpful! And speaking of skills, check out this other video I did on skills. It's titled "17 Rare Prepper Skills That Will Be In High Demand After The Collapse" ruclips.net/video/JJpbPnbvFqo/видео.html Check it out whenever you get a chance.
Leather work can just go into shoe making, cobbler work with shoe repairs is also important. Modern shoes might be too out of league but medieval period shoes is the bare minimum. Using old tyres as soles could make decent shoes. Next is tool making. Tools will eventually wear out. Scissors sharpening for sewing and hairdressing. Using a knife to groom hair is just unsafe. Most metal workers can sharpen knives, sharpening scissors is a very specialized skill that isn't cheap. Knowing how to appraise a pair of scissors allows you to make scissors with metalworking. Next is needle making, shoe making, leather work, sewing, knitting, crocheting, nålbinding all requires the use of needles. Most sewing needles on the market is nickel plated carbon steel, so it's a matter of time those plating worn out and the needles rust away. Wire needles is essentially modern needles, but bone and wood needles is better than none. Candle and soap making, lighting and hygiene. Charcoal making, filters and oral hygiene using charcoal powder as substitute toothpaste. Sharpening screwdrivers, philip is the most common screws with use of drill drivers, making a screwdriver tip from steel rod when there is no screwdriver.
One thing i've been thinking about lately. When S hits the F, is relaxing, handling stress, fun, and helping others to relax and handle stress. We can't be on edge and fired up all the time. There has to be a time to slow down and care for ourselves as well. Car might be able to run 90 MPH, but try maintaining that speed for 6 hours. Before long, we will have to replace that engine. Even that is easier than replacing a human body.
Yep, very true! Personally, but prepping and knowing that I'll be self-sufficient reduces my overall anxiety. So when the S hits the F, I'll be ready and won't overtax my body and mind hopefully.
This statement is wrong and could get you killed. Just because you see an animal eating something in the wild doesn’t mean it’s safe for humans! Animals have different digestive systems and can handle things that are toxic to us. Examples: - Birds can eat berries like nightshade that are poisonous to humans - Squirrels can eat raw acorns, which are full of tannins that would make us sick unless processed - Some animals, like goats, can even eat poison ivy without any problems - Wild mushrooms or plants could carry parasites or bacteria harmful to us, even if animals eat them - Just because animals are drinking from a water source doesn’t mean you drinking it won’t make you sick Anyone with a dog has probably seen him eat poop. Does that mean you should too? Having a simple rule like this is alluring but it is simply not true.
Fish catching skills ?? How many skills are there ?? We all know of line and hook. But what about other methods ?? Do you know the habitats and habits of fish ?? Their preferred food / bait ?? How to get bait and where to find it ??
Good points. Thanks a lot for adding that. I was trying to do a more macro video about 50 skills without getting too specific because the video would be very long if I was too detailed. I could take each of these skills and probably do a 15 minute video on each skill. I should probably do a deeper dive on fishing because that will be a very important skill in order to be self-sufficient.

Those who can play a musical instrument and CAN sing will be a valuable asset to any group.
@@robertgrey6101 Yep, definitely a nice to have when a whole group is stressed out.
If u see animals eat it than u can too
Yep, very true! That's definitely a skill to have!
