This is my first time publishing a review edited in a different software than what I've used for every 22 years, so some things may be wrong / different and definitely a few things are missing yet. Everything is completely foreign to me in how it works so this is a painfully slow transition. Doing the best I can to get through the transition without completely locking up on productivity as the new review season is about to begin!

      What software?

      @waveburner1254 10 месяцев назад +7

Is there a particular reason why you had to change softwares? Just curious.
But so far it looks like the Jang Review I always enjoy.

If you hadn't told me you switched to a different editing software I wouldn't have even noticed, so you're clearly doing things right. Don't worry too much about it 👍

The reason for the false shamrock being made out of butterflies is because the plant’s other common name is “butterfly plant” due to the opening and closing leaves

At €$5.50 per plant it's not bad value for Lego.
I can't imagine they'd ever sell them individually for as little as €$5.50 each.

I like this set much better than the succulents, having the pots for a base is much nicer than the black box bottoms. I'd rate it right up there with the orchid and bird of paradise. Can't wait for the bouquet of roses.

I used to have an _oxalis triangularis_ until frost killed it.
I looked like an alien plant from another planet with those geometric leaves.

If each of those plants was sold seperately, it'd be $5 for each small plant, $10 per medium, and $15 per large. That's $90. But instead, it's $50. It's probably the least overpriced set of the last couple years.

    This set is great
Awesome to see pitcher plants and venus flytrap in Lego form
I think for a tiny plants set, it would have been better for them to be based on actual tiny plants IRL.
Many of these plants would look better and more detailed if similar to real life size or at least close to it

Not a bad set but the plants aren't as good as the other botanical sets. Not as realistic, as you said. Interesting plant selection though. Decent price but yeah I wouldn't run to get it. For a discount maybe.

Thanks for the review, Jang! This is the first Lego botanical set that I’m going to pass on - the differences in scaling and style within the set are not my fav. Some look so realistic and others are really cartoonish. The pots look great though!

They should have called them "Tiny Pot" collection, cause it's more pot than plant.
I'm already fed up with the plants and 1:1 real life objects! Not everything needs to be replaced and made of LEGO in our homes. It's cool when you see it at a convention but it's getting out of hands especially with the botanical collection. And the things they try to make don't even resemble the real life counterpart properly. Just buy real plants that grow and blossom and create breathing oxygen! Or if you are really bad at watering some cacti at least buy a plastic imitation that looks like the real plant.

I have been thinking along these lines too. My first reaction to a set like this is "WOW COOL" but then i start to think how much better my actual cacti look in my windowsill and I start to wonder if it's worth it... I don't have real at-at's or spaceships lying around
