  • In this video We are going to Design Pipe diameter using a Moody Chart (you can use colebrook equation (more precise, knowing the Reynolds Number and Relative Pipe Roughness. )
    Also We shall consider Energy losses, due to major and Minor loss (losses on elbow,Gate valve, entrance).
    If you don't know How to use a Moody Chart, then you shall consider watching this video :- • Moody chart and how to...

    Excellent work. There is one mistake in the video. It is not two-valves but two elbows. Thanks in advance.

    I remember having no idea what head losses were when I took unit ops.

    Thank you so much 🤩 ... can we use the Swamee and Jain equations instead of guessing different values of diameter ?

      Yes, you can. Thats the easiest way ^^.

    Why did you take L=17 m .

    ending was confusing . if we have to assume diameter then why we are doing all of this calculations?

    Excellent video! Let me ask you a question... did you know how to solve if i'd already had the diameter and need to know the flow/velocity for complete open valve?

    What if there is a pump??

    • @NiLTime
      @NiLTime  3 года назад

      You need to know the input power required to operate the pump. Use it on the energy equation.
